That fits. The point of titles like Legendary Skill Hunter have always eluded me, but if applied to that logic, it sorta makes sense. It's just a shame PvP is about as much fun as watching my nan play Patience.

Someone with all characters would have to go through the nightfall storyline 8 times (with Tyria and Factions chars) and would have to do Tyria and Factions twice each (with paragon and dervish). That's 10 storylines for the 2nd campaign, 14 storylines for the 3rd and probably 18, 22 and 26 storylines for the 4th, 5th and 6th campains. Come on Anet, this is ridiculous, I'm asking that you notice this and do something about it before it gets out of hand.
I disagree on this one. GW is a roleplaying game in which you create a character to play through the game with. If you make multiple characters, perhaps in different continents or in the same, it doesn't matter where your first character is in the game. The new one(s) have to go through the same. THAT is roleplaying. You basically start a new game for each character. Makes perfect sense to me.

I think anet got it right with pvp titles, they are per-account and not per-character. When I create a new level zero character I can still display a high pvp rank which is the way it should be in my opinion. I think it should be this way for role playing titles as well.
This I agree on. Some titles make sense being character-bound (such as cartography and protector and HM titles). Others would be better account wide (treasure hunter and wisdom specifically). It's true that titles force* people in playing with only one character. *(if you care about titles that is).
If Anet is interested in making the game better (and having players diversify and play more characters is better in my opinion), here are three proposals:

1) Have outposts discovered by one character available to all other characters (this won't hurt the exploration title since only the outposts may be made available with the actual map remaining cloudy)

2) Make some (if not all) role playing titles per-account and not per-character. I can't help but wonder, why on earth the only role playing titles that Anet made per-account are the lucky/unlucky titles...

3) XP and skill points may also be per-account. If 2 players create a dervish, where one player has played 2000 hours of guild wars with many other characters and the other player is new to guild wars then the veteran is more experienced, even though he is creating a new character. I think we all have many skill points on our primary character which we never use, but our other charcters are sometimes in need of a few.

I'm not saying it will be simple to make these changes. If made, they will definitely screw up other things in the game, for instance, players who have farmed titles/XP and discovered outposts with many chars will say "why are people now getting for free the things that I have worked hard for". I'd like to hear other people's opinion about this[/QUOTE]

prob already been said but this is a good idea but it shouldnt work of all PvE titles. Titles like protecter should remain char based not account based..imo.

I disagree with having outposts mapped for all you characters. Playing a character throught all the areas gives you a chance to learn the character and his skills.

I agree more titles should be account based. The titles rely on exteme farming of points to the extent that you can overfarm an area just trying to get a title. In GWEN how many of those books do you need to fill to get just one character the title. Doing the same missions over and over. Against the Charr, Curse of the Nornbear should be Curse of the Hero's Handbook. The prospect of having to do this over again on another character is depressing and not even what I would consider fun. And isn't fun what we are looking for in a game. Sunspear, Lightbringer, Norn, etc should all be account based.

I cannot think of any reason why experience should be per account. If you need skill points on another account go to GWEN and buy a Star of Transferance with your character with the extra skill points and give it to the character who needs them.

Then why all the PvP titles are shared? Eh?

In PvP, different profession are even MORE different.

What matters is what a PLAYER does, not which character the player plays with.
Accounts are NONtransferable. That means that you can't let your little brother play with one character and while you play as another. ALL the characters of an account belong to ONE person. That person is the one earning the titles, NOT the characters.

I got five characters of which I equally play them. My goal is for all of them to have at least 10 titles and beat all the games including a minimum of 10 dungeons. Whether or not ANet wanted us to force into one character and set up their HoM into the best it can be isn't the case because, as far as I'm concerned, I could care less what special things occur in GW2 thanks to my HoM.

I've got my Ranger, currently on 17 maxed titles and my other characters on like 2 maxed.

I have absolutely no aim to getting more than a few titles on these other characters until I get GWAMM on my Ranger.
