Eliteless dervish Tank/Solo farmer
zwei2stein
Simple and effective enough:
D/Mo
Scythe: 12+1+3
Earth: 12+1
Mysticism: 3+1 (kinda pointless)
Equipment: fairly irrelevant, health insignia recomended, 20% enchanting weapon recomended
[skill]Chilling Victory[/skill][skill]Reap Impurities[/skill][skill]Balthazar's Spirit[/skill][skill]Conviction[/skill][skill]Veil of Thorns[/skill][skill]Armor of Sanctity[/skill][skill]Mystic Regeneration[/skill][skill]Fleeting Stability[/skill]
Pros:
* Can handle huge aggro
* Can handle huge degen (7)
* Can actually kill and not run out of energy (3)
* Snares enemies (5) - easy aggro controll in groups
* Fair emergency self heal (2)
* (8) can be exchanged for res or any needed utility skill needed including elites
* All its survival relies on only one attribute line, one can plug in different damage dealing combos (including elites) if he can solve emanagement
* Works well as secodnary if needed

Suggested solo variants:

looks good, a solid basic solo derv. just wondering why no elite? yes it works ok without, but wouldnt putting in ebon dust aura instead of thorns work just as well if not better? takes a bit more work (cycling through targets to get them all blinded), but wouldnt it even further reduce dmg taken? just my two cents...
drupal
Wow, the build is truly amazing =)
ArKaiN
this build is awesome.
130 is a nice gimmic, but this is the real deal.
I took out fleeting stability and put in EDA, using a scythe with +20% ebony.
Jesus, it`s good.

I did a similar build. However, I put in Vow of Strength and Heart of Fury with no other attack skills.
All I did was to make sure that my enchants are up and my derv is in a good position so that it can hit more than 1 target.

Solus_the_Deadly
Can you give some examples who to solo, while back i tried basically the same build but trolls owned me.
Arkantos
I think Windwalker insigna would be better, +15 armor comes in handy.

It's arguable, when your main damage source is Chilling Victory, i would take health insignia/runes over anything else.
Star Naiad
Hi nice easy build but when i tried to do it i have no idea how to get things started before a fight... care to explain what goes first what goes last and so on? Thank you.
littlejay
anything that would go good instead of balth's spirit? i dont have prophecies
mkool
Yes, I don't have a prophecies too so care to give us other options? thx.
Oren The Destroyer
Is there any specific scythe needed for this or does any work?

it depends on your taste and what enemies you fight - vamp, zealous and elemental prefixes are nice (or furious if using /W bonneti for emanagement), armor and enchanting suffixes, while enchanted, 15^50 or stance inscription works
Dr.thug1230
Build rocks thanks for talking to me in game and helping me set this up
master of cookies
zealous renewal could maybe be used as emanagement if u dont have prophecies but you dont get immediate energy back when you hit / are hit.
Coloneh
this is a pretty basic build. Its something that could be thrown together easily by someone comfortable with a dervish, but thanks for writing it up for the guru-users who arent as successful with their own builds.
Pariah 69
Man, this build is awesome...Crazy awesome man, thanks for posting it!
dairymasta
Brilliant build, nice work dude.

Thanks for the build!
I use a very similar build on Melonni. It doesn't have Balth's Spirit (I forget which skill I usually run in it's place) though. Melonni seems to use it well (she finally stopped dying once I changed her skill bar). I'm looking forward to trying your build on a Derv, once I get around to creating her. Thanks again. xiaotsu

The amount of adrenaline is the only thing that increases from Balthazar's Spirit as you add more smiting points. Putting points into it is poinless, at least he gets a small bonus from puting them in Mysticism.

Sorry but I guess I had been mis-reading what it did. Thanks

somehow im not getting to use the build right..i die really easily..its not a 130hp dev build rite?must i agro and attack atleast 3 mobs in order for it to work?would appreciate some help from those who manage to use this build
m4rk6
A few things to take note of with this build:
Armor ignoring damage is deadly, specially if there are quite a few of them... I wouldn't aggro more than 5 mobs, to be safe. While it can handle enchantment stripping, better go for the mobs that strip enchants first. tytons
somehow im not gettin the regen to work right or something..i doubt my prob is luring too many mobs..i saw the vid..and it has a whole lot more mobs.
any 1 with a proper guide pls? coydeleon
Seems the timing of the enchantments are important, especially when dealing with enemies that remove enchantments... is there a trick or a sequence I'm suppose to know?
P.S.: how effective is this against the Avatar of Dwayna and that boss with the Deathbringer Scythe? Nadav101
suggested places to farm?
ecknine
what can it solo ?
Targetshopper
umm everyone else seems to think this is the best build ever, but i keep trying to solo stuff and i cant really do much with it, im not sure why. but it does seem vulnerable to elemental dmg.
against 10 warriors its a great build, but it seems that if you fight anything that uses some sort of magic, your gonna get dmg spiked to death and cant do much about it. maybe im doing something wrong, maybe im soloing the wrong things, so far ive tried soloing in the desolation against 3 djiinn, didnt go well, tried the other larger mobs, died almost instantly even with every up and running, tried lonar pass but everything there slows you down, runs away then nukes you with ice spear, which this build doesnt seem to protect to well against. any suggestions? m4rk6
Yeah.. use any invinci build against elemental damage. This build works against physical damage. It can't handle massive elemental damage or huge spikes.
Coloneh
this build is more of a base. you will have to alter it to solo specific things. its got great survivability though. If you need help you could PM me in game IGN= Coloneh The Reaper

what he said, its just basis which you need to tailor to your farming spot.
What kills you againt elemental mobs is fact that they cast spells 1st and wand you later, which means that inital damage wont trigger armor of sanctity (they dont have condition, yet). You can explore way of applying condition to elemental mobs asap you take aggro - like Aura of Thorns to ensure inital damage is lowered to survivable level. or use mesmer variant and replace Conviction with Elemental resistance. Kyuuba
your last 5 skills are the core reason for the survivability of the build.
i have created similar builds as a dervish secondary using those skills to farm or "survive" good job on sharing the build with those looking to farm with a dervish. as for an elite, switching out [wiki]Fleeting Stability[/wiki] for [wiki]Ebon Dust Aura[/wiki] would be a good plus when facing enemies that wouldn't KD you otherwise. for a non elite replacement of fleeting stability, [wiki]mystic vigor[/wiki] makes a cheap skill that boost your [wiki]Mystic Regeneration[/wiki] as well as giving you heals when you hit targets (similar to a vampiric except you don't steal health), just dump any remaining AP's into Mysticism. logiscythe
this is excellent dude im gonna take that build to
you mustthe best $hade.
Nice, havne't made a dervish before but maybe this is a build to make one out of
Polynikes of Sparta
Very simple, yet very effective. I like it because it doesn't use Protective Spirit.
~Polynikes eias ashhab
yay thats a good one but can you add me in game and teach me how?
because i didnt get it from the vid thanks .Unanimous.
ok so i've finished making this build. First thign i did? ran into PvP alliance batte. Came up with an assassin, ele and a monk. Assassin attacked me, (incredibly laggy, could hardly move) and found my self still alive after lag wore off. So i started build up the last few enchants for survivability. however, with energy 25 i hardly threw up a few before i was dead. I need instructions to use and perhaps wot i'm doing wrong plz.

taking it into AB; thats what you did wrong...
this is a solo farming build, not a pvp build. .Unanimous.
Forget everything, i worked it out and its working immensly ;D. hardly lose health and deal ok damage. I've taken a few baby solo steps into cantha and it's going fine. ^^. I swapped out fleeting stability tho, dint see the point against these guys.
