Got my first ever set (and last) of Obsidian Armor last night. Of course....now i'm broke i'll have to farm for a week but it's worth it.

I have the twin of one of Moa Bird Cultist's eles. 
I want to get her some new armor but I haven't decided on what. It doesn't help much that she's stuck in Factions (I promised my hubby I'd wait for him so we can go through together, but I might give up because I'm eying Kurzick 1.5k).
Also resisting that dark skinned ele temptation. I can't bear doing Istan one more time, but.... shiny... :P

Inspiration for my Ancient combo:
- 00039's Ele on pg 27 of the original thread (when I fell in love with the boots)
- Moa Bird Cultist really brought the Ancient armor to life with the combo's she did, which sparked my interest again (pg 33 of original thread).
I'm quite happy with the combo I created for Ahlia, I call it her Romantic Squire look. Like, some knight wanted to keep her safe by shoving her into the back room of a castle and she basically said "Noo! I want to burn things!", pulled on some squire's boots, and tore her long skirt in half leaving the long little train on the back of the outfit. XD It looks cute when she's running around and it's flying behind her. :P

yeah I love the ancient top as well....my noob island ele will get that (when she gets her pretty little ponytail in gear)....but was thinking about the ascalon skirt instead.....not sure about the gloves or shoes yet.....but seeing as she hasnt left the island yet I have plenty of time!

Also, Noanoa, thats quite the dynamic pose you've captured her in, it looks really striking.
Finally, in other news, I made another Ele. Yes, I have six Eles, I know... Anyhow, she's a little Canthan by the name of Millay Starchaser. I'll post pics of her when I get the armour combination I want for her. (Hopefully, I'll have at least 2 bits of it by the end of the week, so stay tuned

I love your combos, Moa. The ancient armour mix you have on your warrior is awesome, so much better than the Vabbi or ancient on it's own.
Ehm.... Been tinkering with Saraphim's duds again. Seeing as I had a surplus of Kurzick faction from my ranger's travels round Cantha, I thought I might as well pick up a 1.5 Kurzick top. She just about gets away with the gap as her skin is a similar tone to the dye. I made a new ele too ! The Yin to Saraphim's Yang. Please allow me to introduce Lilith "Her house sinks down to death, And her course leads to the shades. All who go to her cannot return And find again the paths of life."

i thought about 1,5k kurz gloves, but 1. i'm not so sure i like them and 2. i think they'll clip anyway i tryed to wear ancient top with 15k luxon gloves, it looked nice enough but they clip so... i guess 15k cathan will do for now

I created one of those a few days ago; SO cool. I gave into the dark skinned ele temptation and created my second ele (so I can get 15k sunspear and give people yet more overdose of the stuff! It's so pretty though!) Heh, the joys of the internet, never knowing what gender anyone is. Aw man and now no matter which armor combo I've been eyeing, other people have done it first and I'll look like a copycat! :: cry :: Darn my slow playing.

Here's my 1 year old ele with her new outfit.
The armor is 15k pyromancer with 1.5k canthan skirt and 5k vabbi headpiece. All dyed silver+red=pink .

Ok, so I've posted this combo plenty of times before; My 50/50 of Ancient and Kurzick:
 But I felt like trying something different with some of the spare pieces I had and came up with this;  It's a 1.5k Canthan Top with the 15k Skirt, 10k Ancient Gloves and 1.5k Kurzick Shoes, all in Red+Brown. I quite like it. Okay, and I said I would post some pictures of Millay before the week was out, so here she is;   The top half is just a placeholder for whats to come - I have my eyes on 1.5k Luxon for both the top and gloves but she's only as far as Senji's Corner, so I've a fair way yet before the combo is complete. As for inspiration, I see Millay as a sort of apprentice to Rena, hence the similarities in appearance, (Millay is a meleementalist, just like Rena.) Also, the Ancient leggings and boots are just gorgeous. I'm not happy with the dye though. (It's Purple+Green.) Also, I like Nunna's combo, never seen anyone post anything much like that before. I wonder what that would look like with a 15k Canthan skirt...? Heheh, maybe I'll try it out ^^

I finally managed to play my Ele enough to get her to the areas that have these armor. 15k Elite Sunspear top 1.5k Luxon skirt 1k Istani bracelets 1.5k Canthan boots Shalkia

My well loved Hydromancer, made her especially in preperation for GW:EoTN (expecting some spicy new water magic spells).
Nila Thandiwe. I cant stand elonian eles who are made caucasian, so i went the complete opposite, and i really like it. Noticed too that Elonian armor is moreso designed for characters with darker skin.

Mmmm the thing is .. in my opinion ...the elonian character models just are one of the best looking and versatile in skin/hair colour tones.Allot of them look really good in dark or light tones.
