What Nightfall mission do you think is difficult?
Jedi Battousai
Heroes made all missions so easy, it's laughable.
GoM? 2nd try (first try I was stupid and over aggroed....i.e 2 groups that creamed me)
Spike damage? No problem with a hero prot monk running life sheath.
I beat every mission with masters (got my protector title) in 1 week of playing Nightfall. I brought my main over (monk) and demolished everything in my path.
Now farming lightbringer points is another story...Chantry of Secrets kicks my ass...too slow and not worth the grind.

I find Dzagnor Bastion to be a very annoying mission. Though, it is easy to beat for the Standard reward, going for Masters was driving me ape the first few runs through it! It reminded me of The Eternal Grove mission in Factions, only in a larger scale. In the end though, I managed to get Masters using my two Necro heroes as MMs and did something from there ... I forgot what I did exactly but I got Masters and I'm happy.

As a Dervish who went through all missions solo with hero/hench, the Gate of Pain mission was the most difficult.
It was the one mission where referencing the wiki guide didn't help that much, and where my standard approaches with heroes and skills just didn't work. It took several attempts to get through it (though with masters, thankfully), and required turning my Dervish into a Ranger using Avatar of Melandru, Winter and bow interrupt skills. This was the only mission where I abandoned the scythe altogether.
While heroes generally interrupt very well, the enemy AI seemed to time Meteor Storms in such a way that the heroes kept missing those, and so it helped being able to manually scan through mobs and interrupt the constant Meteor Storm bombardments from a distance. Using Winter to turn everything into cold damage, along with Spinal Shivers and Mantra of Frost, made a big difference as well. I can see how certain primaries with a standard heroes setup would breeze through this mission, especially rangers, ritualists and paragons, because of their playing style; but for a dervish it's a tough one, requiring an atypical approach for the profession. The challenge of finding a solution that worked was fun though.
The one thing from the wiki guide which was very effective was the Incoming Paragon recommendation, as Morgahn was the only hero who didn't die at least once, and who saved the mission at a very critical point.

Jennur's Horde, Dzagonur Bastion, and Grand Court of Sebelkeh...
Yuca Dolitae
There were only two missions that I disliked - Grand Court of Sebelkeh (probably because I tried it with heroes/henchies straight away and just got pwnd completely - it went well afterwards with a PUG) and then the Gate of Madness but admittedly we did kill the Lich first and then go for the shrines which caused Shiro to be a right pain...I haven't attempted it the other way around but will do the next time I do it now that people have said its easier to kill Shiro and then the Lich.

The Bastion has got to be the hardest mission in NF...I have tried it seven or eight times, and have not succeeded yet....My main char is a E/Mo with Exuro's staff, HP of 613, and Energy of 83....I am at wits end with it, and I remade a char and used the other hero instead so I wouldn't have to do it to procede....But the original character is still at that point.....Any advise from anyone.....

I Henched all of the nf missions except gate of pain. so gate of pain is the hardest. the stupid nukes got me.
Seef II
Gate of Madness. It's the only one I had to /resign on because of a stalemate at the portals. (I was monking and buildwars'ed against Shiro.)
Kas
Court with Master Award. For the simple reason that my PC is a rather slow loader and by the time my game has finally loaded, it's not possible to get the Master Award anymore.
Guildmaster Cain
I found Dzagonur very annoying. Mostly it was hard to find a good team, so I decided to hench it. Basically you need to send 2 Whispers to the east or west side and 1 guard the center. Then I put 1 of my MMs near them as well. While they guard that side, you can start killing bosses from the other side.
BUT in my game, the Whispers + my MM actually got themselves overwhelmed and got killed, even though they had a massive army at their disposal. That is why this mission is so very annoying. Somehow they manage to kill 8 NPCs, 1 MM and 10 minions with a pretty smallish group.

I hated Gates of Madness not really all that hard but the lich was easy as hell but freaking shiro took like 30 mins to kill. Did beat it and get masters on first try.

I was able to hench gate of madness quite easily. I was the only tank, brough an mm, some nukers, and gave my monk condition removal and healing seed. at the portals, you have to pull the groups apart and there pretty easy if u get them with just a few by themselfs. for shiro, i pulled him away from the lich and flagged my heros/ hench back and i took all the damage, along with master's minions. shiro likes to attack one person most of the time, especially minions. as long as i had zhed nuking him he was pretty easy. then we killed the lich.

I've henched all the missions in nightfall. They weren't really that difficult when you know what you're doing and besides, there's always a good monk on the team *points at self*

In an organised group this mission isnt that hard (but no mission is hard when ur in an organised group), but I just couldnt get passed it with henchies or PUG's. Luckily one of my guildleaders is an awesome ele so we pwned the mission together :P

I hero/henched all missions too and with propher planning and some patience (when pulling, watching patrol routes etc.) all of them was really easy.
Most annoying mission was Tihark Orchard with that cursed mime duel
Second annoying - Gate of Pain. Its generally easy too, but any overaggro from kiting henchie caster and party wipe
Others missions mentioned in above posts:
Dzagonur Bastion - just use two hero MM, one with you and other flagged on other flank with monk hero to delay warrior boss until you finish ele
Jennur's Horde - very easy if camp/flag heroes on carpet bridge after first 5 harbingers so margonite spawns will proceed near and hero/henches will take care of them. And you just pull other margonites groups to them (including needed to complete bonus) and running with lights
Ruins of Morah - Varesh just something like big, armored but stupid wammo - so hero necros with SS,SV can kill her in seconds. and incoming paragon greatly help with protection from torment demons that lurks around when you kill varesh
Gate of Madness - SS and SV necro heroes, incoming paragon hero, 2 hench monks, mesmer and fire ele henchies. When i ended to cap shrines, Shiro was already at ~25% health because of constant degen and hexes. And when party stop kiting and fully concentrate on him immidiately died. He is a way weakest then in end game factions mission.
Hope in hard mode there will be at least a little challenge in missions (not counting mime of course)

Good Grief! You guys are Wonder Women and Supermen! I find EVERY mission difficult. I'm basically a go it alone so it's all Heroes and Henchies for me. At the Grand Court of Sebelkeh I had to break down and join a group. Several times. I finally had to accept the help of a "Pro". She, I, and the rest in heroes and a healer did that one. Thank goodness for her or I'd still be there! That little quest at Issnur Isles where you have to defend the town from Heckets? OMG! I don't even know how many times it took me. I'm STILL working on Meloni's village and Jennur's Horde (so I couldn't save the village and thought Jennur's might be easier. Yeah, right!). I'm just NOT good at this. But I love the game. I wish it was just a little bit easier for those of us who are no good. It would be nice if we could continue to level up and go back at these hard ones when we're stronger. I wouldn't mind grinding away for points to level up so I could do the missions. Maybe I need to hunt around for a Pro for each mission. I dunno, but, like I said, I love the game.

I didn't really find any missions that hard. I beat Domain of Pain on my second try during like the 2nd day Nightfall was out. I even went through Jennur's Horde which honestly did take me more tries... mostly because I didn't get that the mobs kept respawning. XD

Tihark Orchard, I can never get the emotes right against the mime, the rest where not that hard with Heros +Henchis

ugh, gate of madness is my bane.....still want masters on it but shiro kills us all before we can even get to the first shrine....oh well..... other than that most of the other missions are not that bad (seb, dzag, moriah) while some are tooo easy (even getting masters!---rihon, pogahn, nundu, desolation...)...

Have you tried just ignoring him? I usually just literally ignore Shiro on that mission until the end. I bum rush the Lich, kill him, then ignore Shiro as I stroll around getting the shrines and their nice bonuses (and masters). If you have decent monks (henchies will do) you can safely ignore him most of the time, he cannot do any significant damage until you start to kill him (forget the skill he uses around 40% health that tears you apart) and people croud around him. Even then a few choice hexes and conditions (weakness works wonders) and he can be taken out safely. Thats how I did it with my 2 characters I have beat NF with.
Joshgt2
I don't like the Gate of Madness... I have tried it not 6 times and GuildWiki doesn't even help me. I have been though every other mission in both Prophecies and Factions and this is the one that I hate the most out of all 3 campains...
pve-er
Gate of Madness isn't hard, I get master on my Sin and Nuker with hench and Hero, I did different approach, I kill SHiro first by lure him to the edge of temple. Lich is too lazy to walk up and help him XD. so SHiro die alone, then I open shrines before killing Lich with ease.
you need 1 SF + MS nuker, 1 Blinding + Empathy air, and a SS + IP necro plus 2 monk , devona and 1 earth ele hench

There are zero difficult missions in Nightfall. All of them are extremely easy.
Correct Jeans
I agree. They were all fairly easy. But if I must answer, I would say that the Gate of Madness one with shiro and the undead lich was the most annoying on my first NF char. After that it was just fun to watch shiro die .
SotiCoto
Jennur's Hoarde.... Easy to get the mission completed.... Nasty as heck to get Masters....
Grand Court of Sebelkeh? ... No problems at all. Waltzed through it...
Assassin's Promise and Lightbringer's Gaze rips Margonites to shreds.
Dzaganur's Bastion and Gate of Madness? Not done them yet.
I did NOT like the Gate of Pain. It is NOT Assassin-friendly. However I did get through it with PuGs... leaving them to do most of the damage while I operated both of my Hero Monks like a puppet-master from the back (and used Lightbringer's Gaze when available).
Currently upping my Lightbringer title to get through the Domain of Fear.

Well, i just beat the game yesterday and I have to say, the grand court was the hardest mission for me to beat. It took me maybe 10 tries to finally get a good PUG for it. I beat gate of madness on masters the third time i tried it with a PUG and beat Gate of Abbadon first try.
DFrost
Grand Court becomes very easy if you bring inspired hex to get rid of Rites of Torment.

I have a protector of Elona, but I must admit not some missions are quite a bugger to get masters on. I have got masters on all with one character, while 4 characters still have some left (the Mesmer has only passed Grand court of Sebelkeh and the other three didn't go back to do the Margrid line of missions yet).
-Ruins of Morah: Took me two days to get masters the first time around. Not much of a problem usually, but it's a kiler to get masters on. Having to retreat, kill the torment critters and then get Varesh too is a real bugger. Although recently, when I ran back to the start instead past the area, it seemed much easier.
-Dzagonur bastion: the hardest one, I feel. Whenever I get the masters, I never do anything particularly different than the last time, when I didn't get the masters.
-Gate of Pain: Aggro management - the final exam. If you don't know how to manage aggro, you don't get masters, period. The central group is the important one, as it's quite hard (IE takes a lot of waiting) to get aggro on one group only.
-Moddok Crevice: the mission is easy, except for the part with the two runners. Getting both of those is a real bugger without a second player.
Contrary to popular sentiment, I find Jennur's horde easy by now. I managed to get masters even with a player disconnected and similar. The trick is to slowly make your way forward until you reach the carpet bridge. From there on, all you need is to flag the party on the bridge, lure the margonites accompanying the harbingers down to the group, and last go and bomb the lone harbingers with lights of seborhin.
Other missions that I find hard:
Tahnakai temple: I got better times recently, but it's still iffy. You really have to manage aggro carefully.
Raisu palace: It would have been much easier with people, but I usually play with hero-hench teams.
Eternal grove: Masters is a pain. I really swear a lot when I notice that a tree singer bought the farm...

Having just beaten Dazgonur Bastion on Hard Mode I'd have to say it is one of the toughest missions I've yet played to date... at least on HM. We had four human monks and we barely fought through two near-wipes.
Crunk N Monkey
Jennur's Horde and Nundu Bay.
I tried Nundu Bay and got sabotaged by acoyltes after i left the the little area and defeating the first two harbringers. and people say Jennur Horde is harder?! No thanks.
