Will Anet finally upgrade the Storage? (Or will we just have no space for EON?)

For more choice. CHOICE. Not to grow your collection.

Using [skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill] on this thread, because mods locked another one, and I wanted to comment. Since you said this, they will probably be defensive and not lock it.

Basically, there's reasons behind having multiple armor sets. Maybe someone wants a different headpiece from being a SF ele, or doing a Water Trident flag runner or something? You can't bash someone for having too many armor sets, because, with different builds, different runes are needed, I'd rather have multiple sets than buying insignias and runes every time I change my builds.

Basically, there should just be a straight up Armor Storage, like with the Crafting Material Storage. No more than 4 tabs are needed (imo) for standard weapons you find on the ground, although, there are many armor combinations you can have for different purposes, and I don't think players should be penalized for knowing the difference between runes.

There was a reason the other one was locked. You didn't need to res this one too.

If the your characters' inventories, you mules' inventories, and storage itself are not enough to store all your armor, you have too much armor!!

As the game progresses you need more storage. For those like me with all 4 campaigns you'll agree that armor, materials, weapons, items in general build up and flood your storage. They should have an extra tab for armor sets where you store different campaign armor sets. Each campaign gets 8 armor set slots where you store entire pieces of armor, because anet has to assume that after the 4th addition everyone has 8 lvl 20's with 2 sets of armor. This way you have 24 total armor slots (8 by 4) and have it so that you simply change entire armor sets. Drop one set in the box for another set.

It would be a better idea to create player merchants where players can store their items, set a price and let others buy the items. = storage problem fixed and a no need anymore for timeconsuming WTS/WTB/WTT sessions

Pay $10 and get a new char slot or stop getting so much stuff. Most of us know by now that it takes too much programming to add more storage, I would hope, because it's been said so often. Also, I really don't think there was a reason to res this.

The simple fact is that its more profitable for Anet to keep things the way they are, all lame excuses notwithstanding.
Whats really amazing is how some players actually support that.

Why do you waste so much money on armor sets? :|

Unless you're actually using them ALL for something besides image, you're wasting time.

I have 3 characters, all one armor set each. I delete older elite sets I have when I get a new better one.

I used to do that too. I deleted my elite Ice Forged armour when I got my Vabbian set. I now regret doing that. Having more then 1 set of armour is very good. Especially for those of us who run many different builds. Like, for example, my Monk has 2 sets; one for 55ing, and one for healing.

Although I do admit collecting armour for looks. I think there ought to be more storage to store armour specifically.

Armor is actually what keeps me motivated in this game. Along that the special greens for them. Clearly this has taken up so much storage. I would love to get FOW for my sin, but it's ugly (yet I'd still get it) and I can't because there's no room.

So here's the question. How does anet expect us to enjoy Eye of the Norths new armor sets if they don't plan on making some extra organized room for them? I know there's other things that need room (such as the useless, yet cute mini pets.) Not many players wish to buy an extra character slot just to mule things over, plus players have already mentioned there's a bug.

So is Anet gonna make room so we can enjoy the new stuff they wish to present to us in Eye of The North or do we just say, "Screw EON, got no room for it?"
Problem: Too much armor not enough storage.
Possible solutions:
Get more storage- not possible
Lose some armor- common sense answer.

I have ten characters, one for each class and I like to do more than one thing instead of a pvp thing where you run one build until someone comes up with a counter then you switch to a different build or you complain so much to anet that they nerf the counter. I have four sets of armor per character(one from each campaign). As an example my monk character has a set of armor for 55, 600, Smite, and Healer.

That being said I don't have a storage space problem because I like dealing with logistics and inventory management such as mules. This means that instead of playing the game I spend a lot to time managing storage chest and mules.

My wife is totally opposite of me, she wants to be able start playing immediately without having to empty storage out and getting characters ready. She also recognizes that having the right equipment for the job results in a less stressful and more enjoyable game. She is constantly having storage problems because she just wants to play, she does not want to sit in the guild hall for twenty plus minutes switching characters to get ready to play. (Don’t worry I login on her account and setup her hero’s and manage her inventory before our weekend play.)

The current system of mules just does not work for her because it is too time consuming. She enjoys the game and even tries pvp from time to time which is a part of the game I have given up on.

More storage space is something I would support and would be willing to pay for if offered something better than our current system of mules.

One of the arguments against more storage space is server space. Is there any way someone from anet could actually list how much space each account occupies on average. Sorry, just curious about it because I deal with database and web servers in real life. The data usually takes up less space than the database (unless you actually use the database to store files such as a file library, which does not appear to be the case). I hate guessing and have no experience in game development.

Storage has always been a major reason ive never bothered with Armor. I mix n match to get a nice set, make sure i have a few extra pices to swap for build purposes and thats it.

To find the HoM had an Armor Monument was ...disappointing. As it by defaults means you have to spend a mint buying it, then either throw it away or waste ludicrous amount of storage space for no reason.

Not what I call Intelligent design...at any stage.

Now if the HoM actually STORED it for you... then Id gladly fork out the cash... until then I consider the encouragement to buy the Armors with inadequate storage facilities a major balls up.

wow a thread that died peacefully but got rezzed .
On-topic, sure armor storage will be really good, because people have sets for 2 reasons :
-Builds
-Beauty

But I'd prefer a dye storage .

Well, on what else would I waste money ?
-Weapons ? don't care that much for skins and I already got what I want
-Mods and Runes ? I search for what I need.
-Elite Tome ? I prefer to sell them than to buy them.
-Consumable ? sure why not, but it's not like I'm gonna use 15k on it.

I never had a storage issue until GWEN was released, now between armor sets and Destroyed weapons I'm running out of space. I mule the hell out of the heros and the PvP Characters space only space. Seriously, witht eh "J" key you really don't need to delete/reroll those guys as much, or at all.

If Server space is an issue an extra Tab in storge takes up less server space that a new charcter slot, its a smaller file with less code. Of course buying a new slot is just duplication of current code where as a new tab would need to be writen (mostly duplication of the current tabs of course rewritten)

I only use 1 PvE guym though I've 2 more PvE slots, they are storage/salesman. I really dunno how you folks with 11 or 12 characters manage space, though each charcter has ooddles of heros that can hold items.

With the Addirion of the HoM peole that want to continue on to GW2 really have to fill that thing, some with multiple charcters, more items/armors/waste of space mini pets (they were a waste of space before no its even worse, ANet never shoulda made those things imo) More storage is nesscary. Yeah, yeah, once youve put something in the hall you can delete it/salvage it and it will reamin in the hall, but come on 15k armors and 50k destroyer weapons are really hard to do that to.

Found it.

It would be nice, as said before, for armour storage. I buy armour because I want it, not to pimp my HoM, that's just silly. Not that I've bought a lot of armour for my Necromancer, I've bought all the ones I wanted (with the exception of Elite Scar, I haven't finished that one yet), so it's likely I'll spoil another character, most likely my Warrior. Then my Monk. So yes, for HoM to store armour would be indeed very helpful, but I doubt it's going to happen soon due to what I pointed out above.
