Whenever I compare the number of American districts of HA to the number of international districts, I always see there being many more international districts (currently 4 American districts, 9 international).
So I have to wounder what proportion of HA players care about winning favor for their region, and what proportion are HAing for some other reason.
I also wounder what steps a player in a group in international would need to preform in order to be able to say that he actually cares which region hes winning favor for. Currently I don't believe that any player forming a HA group in international cares if they win favor for their region or another region.
I would of made a poll for this thread, but I don't seem to be allowed to make them.

I really couldn't care less about winning favour although when I get a random whisper when I winn halls from someone supporting me I generally laugh a bit.

I don't HA really at all anymore, but I never cared. Euros get favor during the day, Americans at night, and Japan on Leap years....just seems to be how it is.

I only cared when I was getting FoW armor. America never got favor at all that entire week.
Finally got it a week later, got my FoW armor after all that.
Then Anet announced the favorless FoW/UW week the next day.

from my own experience, i think it's more of a guild thing. although none of your team may even play pve, it's still nice to think "wow, we just won something for our continent"
but like its been stated before, no one goes in, wins favor and then rushes over to ToA to farm :P

2) With that, MATH strived to be the best.
So MATH's rationales since the beginning were to win (edit: WIN as a guild and WIN to get fame) and to keep favor (Coz we cared about our fans/haters).

If I'm being completely honest winning favor isnt the top reason I play HA. I've done it several times and it is nice to see yourself winning favor. However I personally HA for the main reason of the competition. To me there's nothing more fulfilling in this game than winning and holding halls repeatedly. That's why I play, simply because holding halls is something I enjoy doing and I'd say about 30% or more of my matches have come in halls and every single one was fun.

If I can help one american get that last shard or ecto for their fow armour, or just so they can sell it for a few k, I feel like I've done my job. I play in id districts and end up in a europe group 4/5 times. Only won halls once but i dont care about favor really.

I think most people who have gotten over the fame farming stage of HA actually only really care about winning halls. Often this is to see their name broadcast over the entire game or just to be in a group to win halls and get something good out of that chest. Either way, I enjoy winning favor for my region, but its only an added bonus to the fact of actually holding halls.

Judging by the way the people act and look on the Battle Isles, quite a few of them are PvPers who have never touched PvE in their life and will think you're a hacker if you waltz in with 15k armor.

I think vanquisher is the only one whos ever tombed so he could hop out and fow/uw (or whatever you need the 'favour' for) right after it changed over. Other then that the only reason I ever tombed was for fun, could care less about the fame or winning halls. Using a build like IWAY/Flareway and every other retarded build we thought up of to flawless teams is so much more entertaining.

I would love to win Halls someday. I can never get a group. I really want to try PvP but can't get started. I do RBs and ABs, but that is about as far as I have got into PvP.

It's pretty much an afterthought. To be honest I'm usually more interested in the chest, the fame earned, or the sometimes amusing pm's you get if you win by name and not by guild. The only time I usually take notice, is if the team manages to change favor singlehandedly, that is all 5 as opposed to the final 1-2 wins.
