I am amazed when I read comments like 'PvP is everything....PvE is pointless and lame'. Really that seems to summarize the PvP bias of this forum. But it's a rather silly thing to say.
I have 8 characters and intend to make a full character of all 10 classes....and why not?
The replayability comes not from the quests and missions themselves, but from playing the game with a whole different class.
I started with a Wammo and a small guild, and went all the way through Proph and Factions. After a while, I made a Mesmer for a whole different experience. Then I started a Necro. With my Necro I soloed all the way from Ascalon to Lion's Arch, doing all the missions....never any other player or henchmen in my party. After this I made a Ranger, but found the class a little boring.
Titles came into the game at this point... so I got Protector of Tyria and Tyrian Cartographer on my Warrior.
Next, I made an Ele and, through 3-4 months on and off, I worked up to Legendary Survivor. I'm still working on Skill Hunter.
Nightfall appeared and I made a Dervish...this is so different to any other class and is really refreshing. I had a Monk that I made in Factions (didn't go anywhere) and now I just completed Shing Jea island and am working through Nightfall in parallel. After 18 months of dealing damage - Monking is a whole different game.
What I am trying to say is that people play through a campaign with one character and think they've experienced all of PvE? No way!
There is SO MUCH DEPTH in Guild Wars.... I am up to 1500 hours and still feel that there is so much left to discover.... loads of skills (elite and non-elite) I have never tried, new ways to complete missions, to get Master bonus etc.
People say there isn't a roleplaying element but this isn't right. Armours and Titles are two ways to really invest a lot in the individuality of your character. PvPers really don't have this bond to any character..... you guys are missing out.
Bored with PvE? How could you be?
The only good/bad thing was the introduction of heroes. But this is because the game world is now so massive that players are spread too thinly. GW is a victim of its own expansion. And before we had Dunkoro and Tahlkora, we had the other curse of 'GLF 2 monks for mission, 6/8'. A-Net's mistake has been to make a good player's Hero better than a bad player.... If there is some way to revive PUGs (people above have suggested no hero areas?) then this would be a good thing. Mind you, Aspenwood/Jade Quarry are such areas and it basically means you never get to play them... needs to be thought through carefully.

Im pretty sure Anet made this game hoping that it would attract a more casual player that has other hobbies and a social life. My reasoning for this you ask?
(PLEASE TAKE A BREAK FREAK YOU'VE BEEN PLAYING 14 HOURS)
Of course pve is easy and boring after a while but I'm sure Anet would know or have a study of the average gamers habbits. If they do Anet would know the average gamer plays a game for 12 to 18 somthing hours and skips to the next game before they finish the last one.
I would also guess that this is part of the reason why Anet changes PVP/PVE and makes weekend events. For me this keeps the game challenging, refreshing and the main thing is it keeps me coming back for more. This might have somthing to do with some nerfs in the past. One thing that makes me come back every day like a freak is the not only the challenging factor but the friends I've made which really makes the game for myself and maybe others too.
Why dont you try what im pretty sure Anet has said before and that is playing a couple of hours a day, every couple of days or take a week break and come back with small ingame goals you can complete in a couple of hours each day or every other day.If you try this you might make the most out of your time online and hopefully the most out of your offline life. One other thing that might help you is maby not run to these forums for help when you cant solve a gaming problem yourself.I mean no offence to anyone by the way and Im the first to admit im an addict with almost 4000hrs.I truly dont know what Anet or yourself thinks or does for that matter, its just an opion.

I play 15-25 hours per week.
I am not bored. In fact I just do not have enough time to do all that I would like to do, (PVE and PVP).
The alternative is talking to the wife, which usually ends up costing me money!

I dont understand why nerfing the 55 caused anyone to lose a 'fun' aspect of the game??? it was generally boring to play anyway.

Yeah it gets pretty boring for me too. Ive done just about everything I can do in the game so far. When I get bored I usually go play another game for a few days. Then I will come back and farm stuff a cupla' days, get bored and go play the other game again.
I agree that the missions lose appeal after going through them once or twice. I think that's why I always lose interest in other classes when I start them. Im like "i gotta do this again?". I deleted all my "other" chars the other day when the extra storage came out. All I have now is my main char who is a war, and a necro I use for farming. SO I have 2 toons and 7 open slots lol. I haven't been in Cantha for months unless it to try to farma certain green or cap a leet skill. I just pretty much farm Prophecies with my war and neckie now and thats it.
I wish I had ideas to contibute, but I don't. But as one of those players who has "beaten" each chapter pretty fast and tried all the other stuff you can do, its gonna be hard to find something to occupy my time in this game till GWEN comes out. I wish they could give us a littl something new before tthen.

Playing since retail release, not bored. I'm always thinking up my own projects, things to do in the game.
But you know, different people have different reactions and if you are bored then go play something else for a while. There are lots of great games out there.
To me, the only serious question to ask about a game is, "Am I having fun?" If the answer is "no" then, hey, life to too short to waste on games that are not fun for me.
