Does anyone have a good build for Rits to CR luxon chests?

For a rit (I've never tried) but think regen and think speed. For the speed look towards a second class.

... What about Assassin Primary with a Shadowy Mask of Superior Shadow Arts? Assuming for a moment that I snatched Chae Soon out of Urgoz's Warren to chest-run in hard mode... would I be able to manage alright?
I did have a prototype running A/Me build from some while back with Shadow Form, Deadly Paradox and Arcane Echo... and I could use it to do FedEx runs through Ferndale (that repeatable carrying quest). Hard Mode on the other hand might be another kettle of fish entirely.
Suggestions?

Yep. All characters with at least 3 energy pips can run with x/A. I know a guy with Mo/A running FoW, a guy with Grandmaster Carto using E/A... Shadow Form + Deadly Paradox + Heart of Shadow + some speed buffs + self-heal if you have free slot.

So presumably that means that Assassin Primary is a no-brainer?
I can't help but wonder whether I should even bother with Arcane Echo .... It tends to involve stopping to recast the echoed Shadow Form sometimes in the midst of a hounding mob.... causing them to aggro even further.
On the upside though, despite the energy costs, DP'd Shadow Form -> AE'd Shadow Form -> DP'd Shadow Form can keep an A/Me with 16 Shadow Arts alive for a very long time.

Afterall... A/R could run for longer...
Then again.... my usual sprinting choice of A/D with Pious Haste would be the worst error of judgement imaginable... I needz better running skillz.

I think my question isn't worth making a total new thread so I ask here:
Is it possible to get req7 or req8 gold items from high end chests?
Just asking cause I seriously haven't got one, and just out of curiousity wondering if I am just unlucky or if it is impossible ;p

Most of the running has been in Tyria, with a bit spread across Cantha & Elona. Also, all of my chest-running friends have experienced the same thing. I do not believe locked chests in HM have fixed it either, as I've ran 1,500+ so far, and ... no gold max Req 8s. -_-
I'm convinced they drop no longer, or only as monster loot. (Which I haven't seen any from that either)

I have to agree with Star Alfur, I haven't seen a max damage gold req.8 ever since the good old Prophecie Campaign.

I own a req 8 15^50 vertebreaker which I think is only obtainable from Urgoz or The Deep.
I'd love a req 8 zodiac sword to go with it...sigh...one can dream

Req8's definitely dropped outside of elite missions. My friend got a req8 15^50 gothic sword when CRing with me.

Heres where i run chests. it's in NF. doable on both HM and Normal Mode.

3-5 chests per run.
It isnt very difficult after the first time, u just have to be smart when to use shadow form. Use endure pain right after shadow form ends is what works best for me. The Normal W/A build on the first page is a good one, that's what i been using

Will be hard in hardmode, I think. Everything with assassin as secondary profession will be superior because of Dash, which is nice to break aggro.

I use a shadow blade, req8 max, found it myself from a chest in FoW.
Anyone know the best area to run demonic chests? I have a few lockpicks and I thought they would be good to run because they give good drops and have an extra 10% chance to keep the key.
Also: Is it worth it to do it this way or should I just run locked chests(better drops) or 600g chest(better chance to keep key). Assuming my goal is both treasure hunter & good loot.

Good place to CR is HM just outside of bone palace. you get elemental and undead chests there. Chance for sephis or elemental sword.
Since gold max r8s don't drop much, looks like i'm keeping my good old felly and gothic dual

I use this build to farm chests in Xaquang Skyway outside Senji's Corner in Hard Mode. The chest in amongst the Vermin drop a lot of Celestial goods.
When you exit Senji's Corner, run straight ahead until you see the vermin and scan for chests. If there's a chest, hit Shadow Form and Storm Djinn's Haste and grab the item as soon as possible and run to the resurrection shrine in the distance. Use Dash to break aggro which might not work first time. Don't open the locked chest if it spawns beside the Jade Brotherhood because it'll be an armour or something non-celestial.
When you regen, head across to Shreader Sharptongue and monitor the Vermins' walking pattern and you'll notice that they all go anti-clockwise around the shaded area. When there's a gap run through and scan for more chests. There is sometimes a chest in amongst these vermin or if you continue north across the bridge you might find another.
Once you've cleared the chests go and kill Shreader Sharptongue with Sliver Armor and when you recieve the morale boost, use Sliver Armor and Shadow Form again and kill off 75% of the remainder of the Vermin.
Duration: 3-5 mins
Loot: Celestials, Cockatrice Staves, Clouded Mauls, Crenellated Swords, Koi Sceptres, Elite Tomes

I have a gold req 8 Ebon Wicked Blade of Fortitude (+5 Energy) that I got as a drop from a boss in Melandru's. I should note it dropped right after Factions was released. I'll post a pic later.

Ive started seeing alot of req8 plat blades in hi end, i wounder if the lower end chests in HM drop low req things?
I.E Canthan Chests?
if you go out Dragons Throut, upto the Zone, there always a chets there, in HM it droped Plat weapons and such.
if you go back, from the portal, and run back upto Dragons Throut, theres another Chest by the Afflicted, u get plagueborn weps there.
i reckon the Req8s are coming from them.
