Tomes != Skill hunter title?

When you get an Elite off a tome do you get a point to Skill hunter or not?

I haven't tested it yet, but I assume so. Otherwise it would become impossible to get the title if you used one.

That's what I was thinking, but you can never be too sure.

well, since I have 291 elites capped on my war, sounds like this is a free title for all the rest of my guys (if I get a ton of those)

Assuming you can get it. It's probably a hard mode Kanaxai/Urgoz drop or something like that

then grats to all the "ebayers" yet another title u can buy
beer, id, sweets, cap, GG ANET, make more "ebaytitles"

I thought the same at first but since they are only dropped by bosses they may be rarer than people think?

You may use a Skill Tome to learn any elite skill associated with that Tome's correlated profession if that skill is unlocked on your account. Elite Skill Tomes may be obtained from any boss creature in Hard mode."

for the 4 new maxed titles from the elites I capped for no reason whatsoever I always knew the divine favor elites would come in handy on my warrior

I found an elite tome, and used it, it counts towards the title but doesnt gain u XP, i forgot to look whether itr cost a skill point, but I assume not. I found the tom on Bukdek byway as an ordinary drop

I love this addition to the game. I can now cap SS on my Factions necro who is nowhere near the Southern Shiverpeaks.

I got 2 elite tome drops from locked chests in less than an hour of play. Either I'm very lucky or they're not rare at all.

So now we know how a Nightfall-Only player can get those Assassin and Ritualist Elite Skills...

Ummm, no. Nightfall only players will not be able to get Faction or Prophecy only skills from a Tome, the skill must be unlocked on the account first.

Elite Tomes will save you time assuming you've already capped the Elite, Regular Tomes will save you 1k max.

(I saw someone trying to sell a Warrior Tome for 5k last night... Idiot.)

I tried using a dervish tome on my ele, and it wouldnt let me. So if i can only use ele tomes on eles to unlock ele skills it wont do too much damage to the skill hunter title as you gotta still go out and cap all the other 9 professions skills.

What is the problem with unlocking skills? 20 minutes in AB and skill unlocked.......

jsshah1, just like the previous posters said: You have to have unlocked the elite skill before you can use the tome to get it on your ele. As in if you had a Dervish and he capped Ava of Balth. Your ele could then use the Tome to unlock that elite b\c that elite has been unlocked on your account.

Well, I wouldn't call him an idiot for selling it for 5k (especially if it is an elite tome). Half of the value is in the fact that it is conventient and you don't have to get past some locked gates or whatever to get elites.

And me and my buddy got 2 of these from bosses in The Great Northern Wall mission, so doesn't look like they will be too rare. Sell fast while you can.

That's not what i mean, i'll explain...
You see, Nightfall has 10 Assassin Elite Skills and 10 Ritualist Elite Skills, a Nightfall-Only player cannot capture them because Factions is required (you can't play an Assassin or a Ritualist without Factions)
That prevents the player from getting the Elonian Skill Hunter title... Unless he can use the Tomes to get those Elites.

Factions will still be required to have access to the assasin or rit classes in order to have access to the skills.

Can you unlock the elonian rit/sin elites with faction if you do not own Factions? Otherwise you still can not do it - the skills has to be unlocked *before* you use the tome and unless you can either cap it or unlock with faction you can net get the skill with the tome.
