It's Vabbian dyed white, and it is amazingly cool.

And yes, you can get Sunspear bounties anywhere in Hard Mode even when you're Castellan or above - but like normal mode, they scale according to area, so you won't get a whole lot in Istan.

I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.

Cold Hard [CASH]

This run takes 5 minutes, 6 max, if it takes you longer then you're not doing it right. Nets 1,000 + a handfull extra SS points per run. Pick up the Undead Hunt just outside Remains of Sahlahja then hop in the worms. The "X"s mark the 4 groups of undead you will nead to kill. Inbetween the 3rd and 4th Xs there are 3 Djin to kill, other then those 3 you don't have to kill anything besides the 4 undead groups. The last group has the boss and you will allready have a little more then 600 points when you get to him, he yields the last 400points. 35 5 minute runs to get from Spearmarshal to Legendary Spearmarshal.

That was the run I was using, as well. Only had an hour or so to play tonight before work. Went from 4000 to 15001 real quick.

I did the whole grand tour of the sulfurous wastes. Using /age each run came out to be roughly 2800 points in 19 minutes, or 147 pts/min.

Start from gates of desolation. Exit north, grab the bonus, head east to the wurm spoor. Enter wurms, kill three groups until you've 25 kills, then kill Vahlen. Go back down to the sulfur, head west, kill one more group, then head to the non-wurmable area. There's a mandragor shrine and popup here, you can simply die, grab the bonus, and kill the mandragor back as this is your only time on foot.

Get back into a wurm, head eastish, there're one or two groups amidst some elementals. Head northwest onto the non-sulfur terrain and kill the group of mandragor. Near the margonites there's another popup bunch of mandragor. You can kill the margonites and then head under the arch-like thing to kill the two groups of undead near sahlahja. From there, head west, under the arch, and kill one more group.

Now go southeast at the fork; there's one more group of undead there. Go west back towards the graveyard (if you haven't done that quest yet) and kill the mandragor. Then follow the path south to kill Alem. At the margonite temple there's one more group of mandragor.

One more run that you can do that comes out to ~137 pts/minute:

Exit north from sahlahja. Grab the insect bounty and prepare yourself for an epic battle between your wurms and about 4 groups of monsters. Head north, but flag your H&H back. Junundu tunnel yourself east past the elementals (do not aggro the undead) and grab the undead hunt bounty from the rez shrine in the rough terrain. You can now wipe out the undead in the sulfure with careful pulling. There are two bosses, a warrior and a mez. This run was about 1800 pts in 13 min.

Rinse and repeat. Not the fastest run out there (though I fail to see how going back to town every 5 minutes is any more efficient) but it was enough to keep myself from getting bored.

I also got the title, Friday night from Midnight to 4 AM. It was fun.

And yes, there better be something amazing. I want like Kormir's avatar to bow to me, instead of me to her......

I'm not patient enough to grind for points, but I got myself up to r9 last night, in a couple of hours.

I did both LB and SS, tho, because fighting only undead get waaay too boring. If you can get the "A Show of Force" quest, you get 1600~ LB points and the regular SS ones.

How? **image taken form the wiki entry for the area, lines added by me**

Leave from RoS. Get the Undead Hunt. Talk to Johru (part of Quest). Follow the purple path to the shrine, get the Elemental Hunt. Don't kill the Margonites and Elementals.

Follow the Yellow path (maybe I didn't choose the best color, meh) and take the Margonite Hunt from the shirine there. A bit north of the shrine there is a Margonite group, kill them, they're really close. A bit futher north there is an undead group with a boss, but they're on rock, and luring them away from there so you can kill them with wurms only works once in every few tries. If you're not in a hurry, the extra points are nice, but I rarely bother with it.

Next up is the blue path. This is where having the quest makes a difference. Until you get to the temple, it's all the usual things, including the Undead Boss.

But now the temple has some shrined in it, and when you disable one, a group of Monoliths spawn. From the 5th shrine on, Margonites spawn as well. At the end, 3 Margonite bosses spawn.

Follow the green line once all enemies are slain. Kill all the enemies on your way. Kill the SF ele boss, and get the nice bonus. Mesa's and Stormcrags are elementals, so you'll have a number high enough to get the max boss bonus.

I did this run several times last night, went from r2 LB to r5 relatively fast. Also advanced to r9 Sunspear.

There are 2-5 Locked Chests on the way, so pack Lockpicks. I got three purples out 12 opened chests, and a large amount of golds just from enemies. Also lots of runes, including a Sup Mysticism and a Sup Fire Magic.

I finished each run with a full inventory, with at least 5 items being golds. I wonder how long it will take Anet to nerf wurm runs

Back to Medieval Assassins [MA]

there was an old school way of farming sunspear points in places like joko's domain or sulferous wastes where you take 2 or 3 hero/henchies...get blessing and flag them at a group with 2 or more infinite rezzers that hang in the backline. the heroes would kill one or two of the non rezzers at a time and the rezzers would keep popping them up, now im not sure if this was fixed or not a while back, but you got sunspear points for every kill regardless if they were rezzed or not. which basically ment you just flag em and go afk and hope to hell your internet didnt cut you.i had seen a couple people with spearmarshall titles looong before the hard mode update.

I'd just like to thank you all for pointing out this method of accumulating SSPP. It may have taken me and a guildie all sunday, but my Warrior is now a legendary sunspear spearmarshall.

I guess it is easy, but very very time consuming..

15k to 50k.. that's just insane.

I didn't actively farm for Sunspear points, but vanquishing the whole of Istan and Kourna (and one area each in Vabbi and the Desolation) got me there anyway. Past the half-way mark for my first Vanquisher title now, and most of it with heroes/henchies. (My guildies didn't want to go for a 3 day hard mode frenzy. Woossies! )

Thanks very much for this, Oofus. It's what I used. Very easy , a little time consuming but I got there in the end.
