I've gotten in the habit of looking for the deadliest boss first and clearing them before I bother trying to vanquish the rest of the zone, just to reduce the risk of getting DPd out. I like the mechanic, since it makes Vanquisher require something more than a patient kill one/death/res/kill one crawl.
