I don't want to whinge, I know they don't owe us anything, but I really wish they'd dropped rarity. After everyone getting Gold Pigs at the Canthan New Year, I assumed they'd thought better of this nonsense.

Ive seen a few myself, i've added a good shot of them. I want some so bad, even though Ill have to wait till December '08 till i get my own. :P

What's so bad about them Thorn Wolves, I'd love on for my assassin, I think they are so cute, but they again I said the same thing about the Whiptail, am I destined to love the unpopular pets?

How about you re-read the thread that Gaile made, asking about 2nd year gift?

In her OP, she stated CLEARLY that she wanted players' opinion on WHICH MINIs do they want. It's some players that brought up "How about something other than Mini?". To my knowledge, Gaile never said they would do whatever suggested on that thread, other than WHICH MINIs do people want.

Speaking of which, I just got a whiptail, my 3rd one for my Canthan character's first birthday. What a gip, all I got were whiptails. I was so disgusted that I just gave all my minipets to Gaile.

I recieved a Thorn Wolf. One of the pics above could be my mini since I was in LA dis 1 as soon as I got him and people were taking screenies of him. Thorn Wolf is white.

How about you go back and read my original post where I point out that last year, Gaile stated that second year birthday presents would be something completely different?

Too late for me to try this, but... just for kicks, get someone with Beetle Juice to make a character called Rain Beetle... then go try and sell him as a new mini in Lion's Arch.

Don't actually take the money though. LOL. Late April Fool's or something.
