Try running to the far left corner of the piazza the boss is standing on. It works 90% of the cases because the mob doesn't come that far.

I just aggro him and run to the left of the stairs to the end. I've tried doing the corners and stuff, but he keeps getting healed.

so whats the best method for killing? Im using a SS N/Mo 55(SoA/SH) so large numbers arent a problem. Iv been trying to aggro all the assassins at once, but cant find a good spot to kill them.

awesome build, was wondering if the ele build can farm other stuff.

Go up one of the many staircases, all the way to the top. Attack one Sin and drop SS on him. .........all dead

Tnx, I manage to kill him, but drops suck from both him and his assassins :[

To do this farm effectively, your build must be able to kill fast and reliably in hard-mode. This past week, my elem has gotten 100k+, 1 platinum staff (req10 smiting, 20/10), multiple platinum wands, 3 superior vigors, 5+ gold oni daggers, and countless other blue/purple/gold runes.
Most 55's can't handle the Oni, but they're cake with an elem...

I used to get a lot of nice loot from this farm, but lately it seems like a waste of time because all I get are luxon pendants and whites. Lots of people say its just a matter of luck, but anyone who farmed HM at the beginning and is still farming now has to see that there was a major farming nerf somewhere down the line and it seems like its getting worse and worse.

Yea, my first run today i got like 1 gold, then the next 3 I didn't get any. Same thing with Fahranur imo.

Agreed, and it seems to be everywhere. I have a lot of diff chars on two accounts and farm a lot of areas including this one. Rare drops have decreased significantly since the start of HM, and even in the last couple of weeks. I won't say that it was an intentional nerf, but with the bugs that pop up whenever there's a new update or maintenance, it's hard for me to say that something hasn't changed with drops.

105 Mo/N with PS, SH, SoA, SS, IP, Mark of Pain, Blessed Aura, and Balth's Spirit is the fastest build by far.
I split the assys in two groups and use the mini-stairs and it's good F'in game.
This place is good for 3-4 runs before the drops go sour. If persistent you will get the occasional rare drop after that.
I'm clearing this place in 3:30 with the above build. I'm sure a N/Mo would be faster but a little less forgiving due to shorter SH/SoA.
Still a great place for XP and to work on your wisdom title.

The only reliable drop I'm getting are pendants, white armors and Ashes of Vengeful Khanhei. Out of about 10 runs all I got was 1 gold armor and a few purples. Not even getting any blues (armors), which are often worth as much or even more than golds nowadays.

Still a great place for XP and to work on your wisdom title. N/Mo is a little faster, but there is very little(read:~1 sec. or less)margin for error. Swap Necrosis for Blessed Aura for the boss if you are N/Mo. The difference in speed(N/Mo vs Mo/N) is probably only a few seconds.
edit: I've been using this for the allegiance skills as farming is the only form of grind I can stomach.

It takes my elem 10 minutes to complete a run since I take out the 2 oni groups along the way (usually not possible for a 55/105). However, I've gotten numerous gold runes, elite tomes, platinum staves/wands, etc... on a semi-consistent basis.

Alright, silly question. I go to this spot and there isn't any of these assassins, but a bunch of other Luxon's.
Do I need a certain quest activated? Am I just being ignorant?

First of all, thank you, onerabbit, for sharing this with us, and great guide.
Just want to add that it is quite easy to kill War Captain Womack on this run as well. It won't work some of the time, depending on if he runs up the stairs or not(I've still managed to pull him from the bottom of the stairs even if he runs into the building, but you need to pull him out of spell range from the monks.).
Basically, just run up the stairs and hang a right or left all the way to the corner, and kill Lord Senkai as normal. Womack should have just stopped running to the bottom of the stairs. If so, run into the Luxon mob and die. Run back to Womack from the Res shrine, and pull him with a long/flatbow. He will split from his group, and pursue you alone, so kill him.
I used the 55 N/Mo build for this, just hit Prot Spirit while your arrow is flying, Insidious Parasite, then SS to take him down(You'll need both as he has Healing Signet). Necrosis will speed things up, too, and a Mo/N should have no problem.
This only adds a minute or so to the run, and you can of course get Elite tomes, passage scrolls, or whatnot in Hard mode. My interest in this farm is for Luxon faction, so adding 250 for 1 minute is not bad at all.
Build:
[skill]Protective Spirit[/skill][skill]Shielding Hands[/skill][skill]Shield of Absorption[/skill][skill]Insidious Parasite[/skill][skill]Spiteful Spirit[/skill][skill]Mark of Pain[/skill][skill]Balthazar's Spirit[/skill]

Talk to the Luxon Priest, and pay 100 gold.

After trying this more, it seems the pathing/scripting of this quest is not consistent. Sometimes Womack stays with his group at the bottom, sometimes he runs with his group in a giant Kurzick/Luxon mob, and he sometimes leaves his Kurzick buddies at the bottom of the stairs to hang with the Luxon mob.
I'll try to test it more, but it may just require careful timing, or possibly pulling Senkai to a different position. I'll post again if I can find a consistent method.
edit:My bad, War Captain is not a boss, so no bonus faction. He is still easy to kill, though.

Because I've had results along these lines.

It's not really worth it (IMO that is) if you're not farming in HM. The only farming I'll do in Normal Mode is UW/FoW, or a boss that couldn't be soloed for some reason in Hard Mode.
Anyways, thanks to this farm, I've got some cash flowing in now

Re-reading this reminds me of a probable bug in the quest:
Captain Womack does not seem to count as a boss. He is only lvl 20 (too low for HM) and you don't get any boss faction for killing him. Since he doesn't have a green either, there is no point in going after him.
