It's fake. The 'T' on Tribal is sans-serif whereas GW font is has the little extra bitties.

wow...okay didnt see that coming. i didnt post here to be attacked, i posted to show the creator of the thread that max tribals do drop. as for the supposed fake font or w/e. thats how my screen came out, and why would just one letter have a different font? im not here to impress or convince

Well, I do not believe you would get upset because the picture was fake and someone exposed u for it. So it is probably genuine.
If you still have it, can you show it ingame to me, so I can post a pic?
Anyway, my ingame font changes when I press the right alt (or ctrl?), and all the text changes to japanese, lol. So dont know what happened to your screenshot text, but strange things happen I agree.
But I'm off for the night, hope to see someone posting a confirmed max gold drop location soon. So far it has only been 3 days... apparently Tribals arent that rare (sarcasm grin).

I guess they updated the locations a bit, or maybe it always dropped. Was this in HM or NM? If it was NM then maxed Tribals were perhaps always available in Urgoz..
So far 500.000 xp and lots of Skalefin Soup richer... but no Tribal dropped.

No, cuz the life stealers are low lvl, i suupose they would of dropped them .. but non max.

I think there have been numerous reports from different sources that said rares do exist. But apparently they are very rare.
So far I have farmed Skales A LOT and havent even seen one Tribal Axe.
Anybody any more ideas where one could drop? Preferably in Elona, since those are inscribable. Another place I heard is Ice Tooth Cave in Shiverpeaks, from the Minotaurs, but as said above, those are not inscribable.

Are you joking i can confirm lennymon's tribal axe drop on minos, i got a r12 13 Stanced Gold, they drop crazy on Anvil Rock Mino's, chests etc

I made just 2 runs on Anvil's Rock:
2 non elite warrior tomes
2 blue non max sickles with crappy inherent
1 blue no max tribal axe (higly salvageable.... -.-)
Loads of mino horns and hides
Only Lockpicked chests dropped golds for me, maybe there's a "very poor" chance of tribalz...maybe...

I just made 4 runs on Anvil:
4 normal warrior tomes (cant kill boss with monk solo)
1 non max white sickle
8 dyes
23 Mountain Minotaur Hides
35 Curved Minotaur Horns
no rares at all (from drops), but last run I got 2 rare short swords in 3 mins, same run also rare skull shield.
Still no Tribals, not even low lvl

im pretty sure max gold tribal axes and tyrian sickles dont exist ..
just more ppl here talking BS, im seeing ALOT of bs sicne hard mode, especially i nthe elemental sword farm guides , were they say they drop from X but have no screenie, same issue here

The places where i farmed all dropped max weapon. However, only tribal axe is 6-27(Highest I ever get) *3 of them*
Even 6-27 with dmg mods are rare. Most of them are just clean axe with no inhert mods on it.

Crazy=Exageratted, but they drop i did around 10-15 runs before i got some golds and then you get lucky.

First of all, I'd like to claim it is possible with gold tribal axes. These are ofcourse very rare and i belive nobody has seen one. Still it SHOULD be able to drop, since the fact that all weapons are possible being dropped as gold. All enemies that drops the item should be able to drop white, blue, purple and gold.
And I'd also like to claim max damage ones are dropped. After above 20 runs in The Falls in hard mode, me and my friend have had about 10 blue / white, and one of them were max damage, to bad it was white. So, what i want to tell is:
-There is max damage tribal axes.
-It should be possible to get golden and purple ones.

Tribal Axes (at least before HM), only dropped from lower level monsters, and they NEVER dropped better then blue. That is a fact. They didnt even drop high damage. EVERY Tribal Axe above 6-20 damage was before HM worth at least 10k. Tribal axes have always been THE RAREST skin for axes, since they didnt drop max damage at all, let alone rare. A near-perfect Tribal is/was rarer then a perfect Crystalline Sword, since these DO drop max and Tribals DIDNT.
Apparently, thanks to HM, these axes DO drop max damage now.

lol what's teh deal with this Tribal Axez anywayz? They are ugly, pixelated, have no detail or anything... they are only rare... who would be stupid enough to spend so much money on that piece of sh1t?

This all is about the size. they are the biggest axes in-game as far as i know.
whatd'ya think why are fellblades so loved? and colossal scimitars? size...size is what matters. tho i prefer cool looking skin ( sickles, runic axes ftw^^)

Well thats what I say about Crystallines and FoW armor. But I guess its all in the eye of the beholder.
Fellblades aint really the biggest skins for swords, but your point is right. Long Swords and Dead Swords are actually taller, but Fellblades just look really big.
