2 of those are from the game of the year edition. The other's look very cool!I would like some other bonus items that aren't mini's and aren't preorders.(although minipet AND weapons from GW:EN would be nice

)

Edit:Looks like the bow is the nevermoore flatbow,so make that 3 from goty.

They're exactly the same stats as far as i can tell from the game of the year weapons

half are the same skin.

Third from the left is the canthan targe, a preorder shield for the first chapter. Tho you have it listed there as a focus, somewhere somethings wrong cause in game its quite a bit too large to be a focus. The hammer and the far right one are same skins as GotY editions. Looks like the bow could be from the GotY edition as well, tho its such a dark picture its hard to tell.

Anyone able to find a better pic of these?

Stats have to be wrong somewhere cause the targe is a shield, not a fire based off hand. And I'd feel a bit jipped, having one, if their targe just happens to have better stats that the next to useless one given out in the US. Then again, I wouldnt be surprised if it was better.

hm, don't you think its a little biased that Anet only do really promotional events (im not including the European gray giant and asura, they dont count) to japan and Taiwan?

im seriously sick of it, ANET GIVE EUROPE SOME DECENT PROMOTIONAL ITEMS!!!!!!

come on, japan and Taiwan had all the really nice minis, and there getting more soon i believe, and they have and weapons etc before, jesus, share the love anet! you have European customers as well!!!

and don't give that crap about "o you can get one if you want", no i cant, i don't have 1,000,000g lying around!!!!!

They're just promo items nothing too fancy there...bigger question though is why? There was legislation passed in southeast Asia limiting play time on games...seems like they are going to play games as is so why dole out promo items? Not to mention the (rumored) second set of netcafe minis.

As for Europe...you constantly have favor...I'd say at least 70% of the time if not more. What do you really have to complain about? If anyone routinely gets the shaft its America. We have nothing unique to speak about and probably make up a decent portion of the community at large.

From what i heard Europe is getting contests for some mini's (could be wrong but I think some have been won already)

Correction: limiting play time on games for minors

That's only about 17% of MMO players. It's has very little impact.

You are wrong indeed; there was only one contest, organised by one of the Italian GW fan-forums, and it had common (white, first-year) minis as prizes. It's still there in the Community News on the gw website, if you want to check.

I thought it was sweeping legislation that limited playtime to 3 hours of "constructive" gameplay. This would in theory cut back on the so called "Asian gold farming". I stand corrected however.

As for the items...if they are like the GotY ones they will come automatically customized to the account and thank God. The flaw with releasing these promo items, including miniatures, is that they are allowed to permeate the general population at exorbitant prices. Case in point, miniature panda. All promo items should be automatically customized and locked to their respective accounts. It would cut back on the me too factor of the game. Optional or not some people will pay any amount of real world currency to get something they shouldn't have.

No you are not correct. The 3 hour limitation is only set for minors, aka "under 18".

The system is implemented, but it will have very limited impact on the MMO market. One person can always own multiple accounts and therefore bypass the system. Even those who are minors can also bypass the system by using their brother/sister's id to play the game.

Don't expect it to do much.

Most of these asian promotionals are specifically related to buying game time for use in netcafes, which are not nearly as prevalent in the rest of the world. What exactly are they going to promote then in the rest of the world? What would they promote with if not something exclusive and rare?

I think that those who have pointed out the similarity to GotY items are right. I don't think we've generated new items for a while and that these are similar to, or identical to, other items from the past. I could be mistaken, but that's what I believe.

As for other "promotional items," yes, there will be some pretty cool distributions in both North America and Europe in the future. Those things that you thought never to see in other regions might very well be accessible to players in your territory, after all.

I remember when the first Coke items were seen on obs mode, wielded by the Last Pride guys. That was funny, seeing Obs mode go nuts trying to work out what the items were. More of those would be good
