Urgoz HM Farming with 100% Exp and Drops, No dying!! A/R or R/A
ReZDoGG
I tried out that other build that guy put together for farming Urgoz Vampires in HardMode for Zodiac items. Thing is, with that build he got is you sometimes miss out on experience points and drops...and sometimes die and missout on gold items. The reason is, that you don't do damage to any of the enemies.
So I slapped alil something together to make sure you get 100% experience points and drops, and also 100% chance of survival. The reason why you get the exp and drops is because you do damage to all enemies to ensure that you get the rewards for killing them. Also the reason why I posted a build for it, is because that guys post left people alittle lost on what to use for skills and attributes.
Profession: (A/R or R/A)
Equipment: Any Staff to give you lots of energy. armor and runes dont matter. But I use a Superior Shadow Arts on Shadow Arts Mask, mainely so Shadow of Haste will last long as possible. Or if using R/A, use Sup Wilderness on Wilderness mask.
Attributes:
Shadow Arts: 16 (12 with R/A)
Wilderness Survival: 12 (16 with R/A)
Skill Set:
Dash
Flame Trap
Dust Trap
Winnowing
Brambles
Conflagration
Nature's Renewal
Shadow of Haste
Template Code: OwJSg5PPTwlTy55M7kOcnQH
Usage: Get some Urgoz Scrolls or a Ferry there. Enter Urgoz mission. Turn around, Lay all four spirits against the wall right on the corner where the fences start. That ensures that most of the enemies dont run by the spirits... Now lay Flame Trap a few feet off to the side of the spirits where the small group of enemies spawn to ensure you do damage to that group. Now run up hill trough the gate, and off to right where the stairs are, and push up against the wall. Now hit Shadow of Haste, run back down the hill alil ways past the spirits where the green plant is... and lay down another Flame trap in the middle of the walk way. Walk down until enemies spawn and lay down a Dust Trap in the middle, bout wear the shadow line is. Turn around and run towards the spirits, and before anything can hit you, hit dash to teleport to safe spot. And watch all the enemies kill themselves. If any survive and no spirits left, just lay another spirit or two and pull enemies towards it to finish them off. You get all experience points. No chance of dying and missing out on gold items...

looks good but is Conflagration desperately needed?
ReZDoGG
No, not really, but atleast 4 low energy spirits are needed. Just the decent ones I use for duration and low energy cost.
I made a video also, I will be uploading it on You Tube. Soon as I find out why my other videos are not on my list on my you tube account...

IIIPowerIII
to get exp u need to be in range, i do it with 5 spirit and nothing else and getting my 504exp per foes with my scroll...
Destiny2097
um you shouldn't be dying using the original build using just dodge. just use dodge once the enemies start coming towards you and thats it. but i guess if u want to be 101% sure u won't die just use SoH but not needed imo.

Well, the reason for using Assassin skills is for Shadow of Haste...so you can teleport to a safe spot and have no chance of dying at all. Thats is the reason why I use A/R. And using running skills to get by the enemies gives you a chance of dying, especially for people that lag alot.

I recommend using this build instead of original. You have a small chance of dying while running by, especially if you lag alittle bit and get too close. This also gives you all experience points no matter how far you are, aslong as you on radar...same goes for drops.

How couldn't I think of this lol, great spot.

Can you take screen shots of the run, and are you trapping just the first group of pop-ups, or can you actually trap the rest of the stuff aswell?
Pheng Yang
not much dropping for me but vamp fangs, good xp though thx for the build.
Inari
I didnt understand the last part. You know, about using the build...
A map would help greatly.

yep..not getting too great of drops 100g here and there. got a gold zodiac axe the first time, but that was pretty much it. Thanks for the build though.
Lurid
Yea, I can get the pop ups but with the build I threw together I can't kill the mob of Dredge.
SotiCoto
I find the traps to be too much hassle.
I've got a 99% success rate with the normal spirit build so far, using my own particular pattern of placement.... so... y'know...
Cool idea anyway.

Wow people...you are making this far more difficult than it really is. Go in, place 8 spirits in a U shape against the wall, agro the spawn, run into the middle of the spirits, I have NEVER died and get all the EXP and items that drop, takes less than 1 minute
My Green Storage
Yea I agree with apocalypse.
I watched the video in the other major Urgoz thread twice.
I don't even need storm chaser.
The area you spawn in is small. Place 4 spirits behind you, move up a couple of steps, place the other 3 spirits.
Walk up to get the vamps, walk backwards and stand in between each spirit "line"
Done.
252XP per kill. You dont need to wand them, shoot a bow, tickle them or anything else.
It's not exactly rocket science .. "Use spirits to block" ... difficult?

Real real real easy......run takes 40 seconds...
Move up 3 spirits, move back 2 spirits, go aggro, run back into the middle of the spirits, small groups dies first, 2 seconds later big groups dies.........
It's easy to avoid them just walk around the spirits. The only way you'll die, if you run in and grab the items.....
I do this as a W/R and about 70+ runs an hour... Lots of gold but all been crap....

8 Spirits?
.... Overkill much...
I drop 3 spirits in a line by the corner just behind where you initially spawn, totally blocking off the corridor at its most narrow... then put 2 at the 1/3rd and 2/3rds way across by the weakness-plant. I run down the hill (with pet bar open) until I get all the vamps down there in my aggro, and run back up to between the two and the three.
Regular as clockwork, the two vamps in the small group try to suicide on the same spirit and one fails. I sword my pet on that vampire for security as it wails on the next spirit... and run past.... then turn around.
All the goats suicide themselves on whatever... the two vampires in the big group waste themselves on the spirits at the back... and if for whatever reason the one nearby vamp doesn't kill himself on the spirit or one of the other vamps comes hopping over, I have my pet attack him before he even gets near me.
Totally secure.... with 5 spirits.... and even that is at least one too many. I usually have either one spirit and my pet left alive, or rarely two spirits.
I have died a grand total of 3 times in about 300 runs (and I have an average ping wavering between 200 and 1500)... hence my quoted success rate of 99%.

I'm sure there is many ways of doing this, but like I said, I "slapped" this together. And laying 8 spirits would take you 40 seconds to do alone. but all in all, it all takes the same amount of time to do a run. Also, my ranger is a few missions away from House Zu. So I used the best that I can get, and the safest...and also first time ever farming Urgoz. I was also just comparing this to the first post on farming Urgoz. But, whatever works, works. right?
naginatools
Use RT-spirits aka 3sec casting time aka faster xD
R/RT > Expertise = no energy cost.

No mention of the original person who came up with the farm. You should have just added to the existing post. Just something i slapped together. Never had any problems with not getting XP with the original build. BTW i only use 5 spirits w/no traps. Should I make a tutorial for this?
Dr Imperial
alright...this is really fun and cool and all...but I'm sick of vampiric fangs and crap whites...
Whats the point of this?

Whats the point of this? Well the point would be to farm Zodiac items and such. I've got around 15 golds or so in the past few days of just farmin here and there... can get frustrating and seem pointless. But possible to get 2 golds in one run, and possibly a valuable items.

Yeah, I tried that spirit blocking build... still didn't seem to get as many golds, and not as fun. lol. It would be better to have a ranger there, but I'm a few missions away with my ranger and hate going through factions missions, since i've done it around 8 times. Seems when you kill them almost all at once, you get less golds. atleast this build gives them alittle time to die... I tried almost all the Urgoz builds, and seems I get more golds this way. Not proven, just seems that way i guess. No need to be harse about it. There are people that don't play the game 24/7 for the past 2 years, and don't know the in's and out's of every single thing that has to do with the game. Sure some people found this helpful. So if you don't, just keep your comments to yourself...?

the anti farming code nerf it again after the 8~9th run, i got about one $$ drop or nothing for the next 8 run....
The first 8 give me 1 gold item every two run.

This was fun while it lasted, but now the drops seem craptacularly nerfed.

My bad....didnt know it was a "positive comment" only thread. But you still should give credit where credit is due. And as you can see, the "No dying" part is false.

The only thing this has going for it is speed. Should be good for botters. Me? I think its boring and unrewarding.

It doesn't work anymore? I did 10 runs and got one purple.

Since two days ago?
I got 10 golds in 45 minutes in the morning two days ago.
Yesterday I only got 6 in the same time... and during my brief time farming the Warren in the evening I got another 8.
This morning I was farming outside the Astralarium with my monk instead and got my first gold Colossal Scimitar...
Is it really that bad?
