Suggestions for GW:EN Ranger pets

With GW:EN looming on the distant horizon, I thought it might be fun to take a minute to brainstorm ideas for new tameable Ranger pets. We know, as of now, a little about some of the new races and areas that we're going to be encountering for certain (Far Shiverpeaks, Tarnished Coast, Asura, Norn, Charr, etc) as well as others, like the Sylvari, that are possibly going to show up as well. Now, I think we all need to accept that there are limits to what models and whatnot can be made for these pets in the current game engine...so try to keep it as realistic as possible.

Personally, I would reeeeeallyreallyreally like to see:

Black Panther (reskin of the stalker model; want this more than any other)
Snow Fox/any type of fox (would probably require a new model, but still want ^^)
Polar Bear (reskin of Black Bear)
Penguin (again, not sure if doable, but would be fun)

For the life of me right now I can't think of any underground-dwelling (remember, new dungeons) creatures other than a groundhog and a mole, so perhaps I will have to think more on it. Also, I don't tend to like pets that grow to unusual sizes all that much (scary giant flamingoes, lol)...but a giant penguin might be absolutely hilarious.

Anyway, let the suggestions begin ^..^

well lets say BATS [could go vamp] with ability to suck HPs , Worms [not the most anitcipated but hey imagine a mini pet worm like the desolation ones] different type of spider[tooth spider], Salamanders or maybe a snake of some sort.. and even though its supposed to be underground or w/e id say can we have a NEW bird cos the PHX [really a peacock] is colorful and nice looking but doesnt look mean enough and back in days they used canaries to go into caves ..heck why not a canarie too lol... what bout a hawk or vulture/buzzard .... [in recent news and maybe sometime during its time[being gwen] Bald Eagles are supposed to be coming off endangered species list so why not show some luv and put them there..

Oh, and Polar Bear. BUT NO BRUTAL MAULING! Rawr.

I actually want a Devour for a pet, like Joe.

"Charm monster" skill. Like Charm Animal but for monsters.

I want another elite pet type, the "Nightmare Wolf" that will be black with red lines and with red eyes.

i want a monkey, that would be so awesome, he could fling poo that causes disese *lol j/k* but yea i would love a fox, i had a pet fox irl and they are so cool, and way too smart for their own good *mine kept getting into the fridge, we had to lock it lol*

A black and white wolf color variation, a polar bear and perhaps an eagle or falcon or hawk? They could be a lot smaller then the current walking birds and fly low just above the head of the owner while circling. Same hp and attack types though. You see one of the Norn in the pic with a bird like that so why not? The black panther idea is good too. I also would like to see a standard leopard/jaguar skin for those too. Then you also could add in a wolverine type pet.

Grizzly Bear, if any of you have ever seen a real black bear vs a grizzly there is a huge difference. One facial features, two the sheer size.
Polar Bear (maybe)
Another Elite pet (like spider) Something hard to get to and cool as hell. The phoenix wasnt that great even if it was end of the game. Maybe some sort of velociraptor like lizzard.

like the fox idea though and obviously i would love a black panther

They aren't permitted to have depictions of Pandas dying. Therefore, Pandas can't be real pets.

But they should add that Pygmy Hippo that was around during the Nightfall Preview event. Hopefully they can get the skin or whatever to work this time.

I want a baby-wurm as a pet!

but failing that a pet dragon (although that would quickly become highly prized) or a pet Jaguar (reskined Stalker)

An eagle or falcon. Oh yes! monkey as well, all great games have monkey in them. And a hamster, a talking one, a talking space hamster.

Ah! A moose or caribou would be great! Can just see 'em headbutting some evil asura bent on world domination, or, like, a frostfire dryder...hate those things. ^ ^

Since we're going underground and hopefully fiery areas at some point I'd love to have a tameable Salamander.

One other thing I would like to see is pet growth continued. Factions was cut out of that for the most part which still puzzles me. My lvl 20 hearty white tiger is still too small imo.

Monkeys and pandas please! ^^

An Asura.

That would be interesting NPC dialogue if you had a hero Asura and a pet Asura.

Hm... let's see... we know that most of them use similar 'squeletons' I'll add my ideas based on the squeletons I think that there are shared.

.Cat: There are already a lot of cats... but a Panther would be cool... a back panther is just a Leopard or a Jaguar with black fur.
.Dog: They definitely should add a dog using the Wolf's moves... something like a Doberman or a husky, or maybe just more Wolf Skins, like REAL black wolves (black skin) and white wolves.
.Pig: We have only a Warthog... They should add a Wild Boar.
.Bear: A polar bear would be great.
.Flying bird: Golden Eagle, Andean Condor.
.Rat: Beaver. Wound't you want a Beacer to make it biter peple on their knees?
.Lizard: Aligator. We already have a lot of similar cats. An aligator would be jst similar to the crocodile.

- Some kind of snake would be great... I would get one and call it 'Gray Fox'.
- And I want a super-fast, uber-powerfull deadly caiman-turtle!
