Suggestions for GW:EN Ranger pets

More flying pets would be a nice addition.

Snowy owl, from the great Nord vastness.

Bat, from the depths of Tyria.

Small Dragon, protector of the Sylvari.

Oh... yes... The first part of GW:EN is under caves!

Wich animal is better suited for caves than a giant cave bat?
The idea of an small dragon would be cool... something like D&D's demi-dragon.

A Dragon or a Large Lizard type pet would be my choice.

I want... a Mountain Goat, found in the areas where the Norn reside.

even though there are plenty of cats (and i'm not complaining, i love cats more then anything), being a snowy region, i would love to see a snow leopard.

Elite pet this time around should be an ice dragon whelp.

I think the problem with a Panda pet, and even the Pygmy Hippo, was the response from the animal protection groups out there, like PETA. I don't have a huge knowledge of what all is "protected" in the world, but I know there are some that are more endangered than others...or just cuter, whatever makes people care about their well-being more in real life and in a fictional computer-driven world. And that's something we should keep in mind when trying to brainstorm. ^..^

I like the Mountain Goat idea too, and Salamander's a good possible reskin of the dune lizard model. IF smaller flying pets are something that'd be possible (yeah, I know the Phoenix *technically* flies....it's also really big.) I'd love a Snowy Owl (and yeah, I'd bear with the Harry Potter jokes) and even a Raven or Crow too. Heck, a giant Vulture'd be pretty cool.

Honestly though, I think we're more likely to see new pets that use existing models and whatnot...it's just easier and quicker to program, imo.

I want a lemming. That way I can death nova him and he'll run in and suicide....

@ Sidheyuna, the thing with pandas is that they're very culturally important in China. In theory there is a death penalty for killing one. So, it wouldn't be good marketing to have digital pandas dying on Chinese computer screens.

I don't know what the problem with the pygmy hippo is. Anet changed the color of the Crane's head to make it less like a real whooping crane, so I guess there is a precedent for avoiding the implication that it's ever okay to harm an endangered species. And you can't really change a hippo's color to make it a plausible not-hippo.

I would like a little dragon for my warrior. So far that's my favorite suggestion but I like a lot of these ideas.
