Been playing GW for almost 2 years now so I bet I racked up many dumb questions in the beginning

how do I sit.
where is storage (in pre).
Why do I keep running off in all directions when trying to type anything in the chat

lol I still do sometimes

But the dumbest and stupidest thing I did for the 1st month playing way back then was selling ALL dyes for 1g to merchant.............

After being told by my guildmates all about green weapons and ectos, when i first got to post searing Ascalon i spent a good couple of hours trudging round the immediate area getting battered by everything, and coming back into town and moaning in main chat about , why the hell i hadnt dropped any greens and ectos...........

Suffice to say i was most kindly informed by several people on my misguided ideas

'Hey xxx, I cant find u in ascalon (we were in different district)'

I thought this is a super-hero kind of mmo that I soloed everything in and after pre-searing (and eventually getting owned by charrs)

Because a friend had introduced me to the game, I saved all my stupid questions for her. However, I did a couple of stupid things. First was in the first mission, we (my partner and me) had got a group together and we were ready to start. She was the party leader and didn't see the enter mission key and so just walked out the door. The guy we were with was like, it didn't look like this before, so we went back in. It was only after that, that we noticed the button.

The other thing was waiting on buying a rune of holding because it was "very expensive" and we wanted to see if we would actually need it before paying all that money.

Thank God she had told me about dye, so I have been collecting them ever since, only selling them when I could make the big bucks (like when new hats would come out and the traders ran out).

When I was in presearing, I hadn't found the travelbutton yet and I always ran to previous cities. Lost a lot of time with running xD

And after I had done presearing I tought i had finished the game ^^
I once bought an armor too, a guy sold his armor in presearing and I didnt know that armors always were costumised xD

My idea of farming:
growing food to sell them and make money xD, till I realised that there were no farms in GW

Actually I did the opposite, I played with my character for so long that I forgot about pre-searing, so when I made a new I asked how to get to the ruined one

ermm when i first joined guildwars i dint have a clue what i was doing let me see... here are a few dumb questions i can remember asking

" I need a free run to drakurs froge " i had heard guild mates going on about it in TS and though i could get to Drakurs froge (droks forge) from beacons perch for free XD. a stupid one i can rember asking was in Augury Rock and someone had just typed in looking for Hydra Farming group. i had no idea what farming was so i asked : "Is farming putting the Hydras in a pen and looking after them?" of course the whole town startyed laughing but i was informed by a kind stranger how misguided i was :P

I was horridly newbish with my first character, a W/Mo...I thought it was like a D&D Paladin, so I was trying to help the monk henchie heal the party. >_> Yeah. I know.

So I get this guy who tells me that I shouldn't try to heal anyone but myself, because I don't have enough energy or "divine favor". So I asked him "Is divine favor what you get when America has the favor of the gods?" xD He was not pleased. (We didn't have favor at the time, by the way.)

Oh yes...I'll never forget this one. My friend who was in pre-searing and I who was in post-searing spent hours trying to find each other. We were running around from one place to another not realizing no matter what we did we wouldn't find each other xD

Not exactly a question I asked, but something I thought of instead. I thought when you picked up armor drops, it added to your own.. Grawl drops a grawl armor with a rating of 5. <Thought i had 5 more armor

My friend and I both got GW on the same day so i called him and said lets meet in Ascalon. We spent the next hour trying to figure out where the other person was. I was like im by the smith and he says i am too and we're like, is it a different smith. It wasn't until well after that that i realized there was a such this as 'districts'. Another question I said was when I made a PvP character. I was in RA asking everyone how I got to Tyria.

This is the best one I've heard in awhile. I was in Iron Mines (town) and my friend needed a run to Granite Citadel. We grabbed some heroes and got ready to head out when I saw a stranger in town asking for help getting to Copperhammer. We told him we were headed that way and he joined us.

We warp out and start fighting the first mob. During the fight he remarks...
"Cool! Hey Zhed, how'd you get your character to look like that?"
"Zhed?"
"Geez, I hate stuck up snobs that won't answer questions!"

We answered him and got a good laugh all the way to Granite. I'm just amazed that he'd made it that far in the game without ever seeing Zhed even if he didn't own Nightfall.

Yep.....when i joined about 3 or 4 days after the SF update i kept seeing people saying WTS Green Weapons. I seriously thought that they had got a weapon and dyed it green and that was what a green weapon was. It was only a month later i came across Sorrows Furnace and dropped a Stinger bow. It all sank in.

Though i have actually been asked much more stupid questions. I once got asked "where i bought exploding arrows from" (effect from Kindle). The good old days eh.

"Why would anyone want to make a PvP only character? You don't have to earn your level or anything, sounds really lazy and pathetic to me."

"Why do PvP players make fun of PvE players, when most of them don't have the skill to go out with a group of henchmen and do PvE themselves, fighting things with higher levels than them like the skilled PvE people do?"

What's funny though, is that I've been playing for more than two years now... and those are still valid questions in my opinion. Sure, eventually I did start doing some PvP, but I'm still not willing to play a character with levels, armor, and skills I didn't earn for that character... I'm just not that lazy or something.

Oh well.

as for the selling of dye to another person at a vastly underpriced isnt so bad in my thought its anewbie thing you think you got a real value. i did the same thing was the guy for 3 weeks kept pming me and asked where i was and kept coming to the district i was so he could tell everyone in general chat what. actually the worst noob thing i did was sell black dye to the merchant even after i knew the worth of it for 1 gold. after that i made a barrier between my dyes and things i sold so i knew when to stop selling.

Eh, I read the manual and a bunch of information before playing (in May '05) so I didn't have to ask many questions. The worst one was probably something like "What's Alt+F4 do?" in HA. I fell for that trick exactly once.

cant really remember most, but one i do is this:

"i'm an elementalist, whats better a bow or a sword?!"

i also got excited when some charr i killed dropped some armor

"wow its got armor 32!"
"why cant i wear this armor!?!?!"

i also never realised there was a pre/post, until the guild i joined kindly explained. i thought that pre was huge initially (first mmooooooorpg) and when i saw the map in post i was like wow.
i too (seen some others that posted this), was v v chuffed when i reached yaks bend, only to realise that i was nowhere near the end.

i still got my noob moments =), why until the other week i didnt realise you can overwrite weapon mods..... oh yeah and why blue dots are sometimes light/dark. but its all good
