Stupidest Question You Asked As A Beginner ?

- why are people talking in different colors?
- why can't i afford anything from the merchant? (i apparently had not realized what a plat was and thought i continually had onyly a few hundred gold)
- (after switching districts in ascalon) omg where am i???

I was a level 8 N/W with a hammer and random blood magic skills! Winner!

"why does smithing magic kill zombies?"

Ascalon Arena wammo was chasing me using "For Great Justice".

and i was like "WTF am not an outlaw!" then i looked up the skill description.
I was soooooooooooooooooo embarassed
i left pre ascalon on my lvl 3 my friends were still there so i asked.
How i go back to the pretty place with the flowers and the birds?'
and ofc i needed a cape for my guild so i need 2p and i asked.
I need 2p but the rare material wont sell me any what's happening!?

-Where am I? How do i get back to the green field. All i am seeing now is ruins

First time player and reached post searing by accident. (Was invited by some random pug in pre searing.

-What is mission? What do i do?

First time doing mission in post searing.

-Omg, where must i go now? I am totally lost.

Just reach post searing without any knowledge about the game.


Thinking back and reading these thread made me laugh at the stupid things we asked in the past.

The most embarassing moment for me was when me and my m8 were doing some quests in Ascalon. A Charr dropped 65 gold pieces and we were like "OMG!! This thing just dropped 65(!!) gold!" to our guild >< Thankfully everyone online didn't say anything.

I was complaining to a friend of mine how overpowerful the catacombs were. "I was just standing in that green sludge and I keep dying. I just don't understand it."

To same friend: I have been standing in town for half an hour and the mission has not started. and there's tons of people here waiting! friend: just press enter mission. me: oh.

To same friend: Those level three elementals are so powerful. They keep killing me! (was a N with no heal and I had aggroed several hordes of them) friend: did you take any henchies with you? oh. no.

I'm one of those people who just keep quiet if they don't know or understand something.. and then maybe look it up later in private. I also read a lot about GW before I even bought it, so I was perhaps a bit more prepared than some (well, I did sell my dyes to a regular merchant in Pre, and I thought for over a year that you mix dyes by applying them to your armor directly, one at a time).

I also skipped the Res Signet quest in Pre because I thought asking for help would make me seem like a.. noob.

Perhaps my noobiest comment was when I was wondering about this "Divine Aura" that I should have gotten from the CE box, and I honestly thought it meant the way that my character glowed (remember, everything glows in Pre :D).

Unfortunately (read no sarcasm plz, i really mean no sarcasm by saying this), I don't remember asking overly-stupid question in the begining. I guess I was keeping my mouth shut.

One thing i remember was about this : I was in Pre-sear playing with 2 people (then agian it probably wasn't in pre if we were 3 ppl), the two other guys call their level. But at that time I only knew about calling skills and attacks, so I typed : "I'm level X and 50%". Funny thing is : they told me, I tryed and was actually at exactly 50%!

Guild Wars is my first and only MMORPG. I started playing Factions last July. I finally got a character to Minister Cho's Estate, looked around, and asked,

"S'cuse me, but what's an LFG?"

How do i save?

Why are all the monsters so overpowered! Why is their level so high??

I had made a W/E and just came out of Pre and was doing one of the first skill quests in Ascalon. I noticed the red writing (trade) and looked at the reward for the quest i was doing (Helping the People of Ascalon). Apparently the reward was something called 'Lava Font', I completed the quest and wondered why my text in all chat was still white, so I pm'ed someone in the Trade Channel, how to get red writing. Needless to say the response wasn't that kind.

Why some names were bolded and some were not in outposts.. This was before the number of party members showed up on top of the party leader..

I had a horrible start to the game, being introduced into my friends guild and at the same time having to enter the guild's gvg. I think I made everyone panic by my questions "how do I get out of this base?" followed by "where do I put the flag?" What was hilarious was the fact that the guild I was in still won, though they were really down one player.

I was watching a dance party in presear on my first character, my female warrior, and I saw a male ranger breakdancing.

I asked, "how do i breakdance?" and tried to type /breakdance

Then they said "you can't, you have to be a male ranger" and I learned that each type of char has a different dance. Lol.

"THESE CHARMS ARE IN MY INVENTORY BUT IM NOT GETTING THE ADDED HEALTH AND ENERGY FOR THEM????!?!"

im talking about focus items I didn't know you could equip them.... I thought they were like diablo 2 charms because thats were i just came from

one of the things that will haunt me to the rest of my GW life:
was playing with Dougs and i kept running out of inventory space! (we prolly left Ascalon ages ago!) so he goes something like:
you buy more bags to get more storage.
and i went:
well d'oh! i bought the bag and got the pouch! but my 4th bag slot is empty! where do i get the bag that fits THAT slot?!?!?

"Where are my Health and Mana potions?"

I was new to guildwars and in ascalon in pre some necro added me to team took me outside and I asked a few questions while running to the gate.
Question."where is everyone"
Answer "only see others in town or outpost."
Question "wow you got a cape how do i get that?"
Answer "when you join a guild"
then replied "where do I go to join a guild".

When we got to the gate she told me to pull the lever "what lever?". After I found it she walked through and once the screen had loaded she told me to press m and go back to ascalon and that she will meet me back there, so i did. I never seen her again. I was used to open the gate and I didn't even know
