Lot of hero hate and some people hate too.
I don't mind if people spam calls on targets. It is the fastest way to lock the heroes on targets, locking by targetting is more tedious. Know it all people? well I just ask peoples build and if i find something anatgonizing with others peoples build or even within the build itself i make a remark, in the latter case just to make the player aware. It's for the better of the team or for the player in the end, so both become more effective.
Hero hate, ununderstandable too, I hate them for cluttering up, but not for many other reasons given here, like thinning the playerbase and such. Heroes didnt achieve such a thing, it is players who left the game behind them, and the creation of game content that thinned the playerbase available to you.
I dont mind pugging when I have nothing too loose, but when i have something tricky to be done i prefer hecnh as they listen extremely well to your suggestion, while with players it seems always difficult to get things done right, you just need 1 or 2 to screw things up for the rest. Are players in general bad? I don't know, I know that it just takes little to screw up a party, an overaggroing player (or hench/hero) could just cause that party wipe in any high level area. Heroes are patient they let you lure. Lots of humans seem to have problems with luring, when the mobs start moving they go in for the kill instead of waiting their arrival at the desired spot :s
I don't mind how players play the game, and I think it wouldn't change that much if we made 7 heroes available or not. I would still PUG on fun missions that allow people to be sloppy, and I would still play in teams with guildies/friends

And to DKS, all that bs can be bypassed by screening/talking with other players. My encounters with bad pugs has been few, and yes, if those two characters you referenced are new to the game, you need to chill out and maybe offer advice. Sorry if you are jaded, but I don't let assholes/idiots/newbies get to me. I can understand not pugging because of low population in the area, and I could only see 7 heroes in hard mode. |

See, I was originally under the impression that 7 heroes would be allowed for owners of both Nightfall and GWEN (3 for each campaign, 1 for having both).
But logic is flawed once again at the hands of Anet!

A-Net,
If you allow us to use 7 heroes, here what I would like to do:
- Use Goren, Norgu, Zed, Razah, Margrid, Zenmai, Melonni and the future wonderful heros. I'm tired to be forced to play Tahkora, Dunkoro, Koss, Olias everytime.
- Play in DoA...for God sake, elite area does not mean cookie-cutter/farmer only area.
- Have a chance to have FOW armor in fun style i/o ebay or 55monking
- Try different build teams, like pack hunters, all melee teams or all range attack teams, eight flesh golems montroisity.
They are sure to beat any PUG.
Hoping earnestly...

Erm.... am I the only one paying attention to the additional reasons?
I mean the notion that 7 heroes would stop people teaming up with other people is just bloody silly since the antisocial sorts like myself wouldn't team up with other people anyway. We dislike "other people"... and just have to use henchies instead. Those who are socially tending won't use 7 heroes anyway. FORCING people to socialise against their will (essentially) is bloody ridiculous.
BUT.... when it comes to the matter of cluttering up the screen with the controls necessary to individually manipulate 7 heroes.... I can almost see what they're on about.
Imagine having a total of 8 flag tabs circled around the compass? Imagine trying to have 7 skillbar windows open at once, manipulating them all....
Nasty stuff.
Their comment about Super-Henchmen though? .... Well honestly, most of the time... that is what I do with my Heroes: I give them good builds and let them deal with things themselves. I need to give my constant attention to my own build and can't necessarily spare the moments needed to dictate which skills my heroes should be using.... But sometimes... just sometimes I do have it that way. Thing is, I pretty much will only have two of those windows open at most at any one time, since there is usually at least one Hero I don't need to constantly manipulate.
Thus the notion of the screen getting cluttered up isn't something that would happen for me.
Ok, so having all those flag tabs around the compass might get ridiculous.... but honestly.... it isn't that bad a deal.
And a note for those people claiming a team of 7 heroes would make the game too easy..... I'm sure you're the same people who claimed the addition of heroes in the first place would make the game too easy..... who probably assumed that even having henchies made the game too easy.... Heck, for all I know you might decide the game is too easy if you're not running around solo in the buff with a starter wand and no skills.
NOT EVERYONE finds the game too easy....
Ease of play and fun are two fairly separate subjects in my opinion besides....

I actually think it would be pretty cool to have a few buttons for all of your henchman and heroes. Example: I put my heroes on Passive when they get SS or Spirit Shackles on them. Henchmen will still wand away when SS'd or otherwise and it'll piss me off. Universal Passive-Gaurd buttons would be cool.
Patrick Smit
So much agreed on the universal passive control, too often they will enter aggro while i want to run on. Sometimes they will even run of the radar to do that, even when in guard mode.

I'm very strongly FOR the argument of having the options of a full heroes (and me) team. Other than the fact they simply don't want to, I see no valid points against it. And I see about 100 valid points for it. I've already stated my opinions in other posts but it looks like those are falling on deaf ears. /-:
