The original thread is quite old and not updated, so I decided (for information's sake) to create a new thread with a poll.

Heh... well I just about scraped into the latter numbers on the second to last age group...

Wow, it's great to see some older folk! I never really played MMORPGs before so my assumption was that most people i ever chatted with were pretty young...which is probably why I henched my way through the majority of all campaigns. Funny thing is that GW is a kind of secret life for me in sense that none of my friends know that I play. It's a great escape from stress and a good cool-down from my morning exercise. Well, I also like to kill virtual dummies too! XD

wow, that's really nice to hear! Happy 60th birthday! It makes the experience of playing GW even better knowing that there are people of such age enjoying the game as much as the young ones.

The results are kind of interesting.

Despite what political fundamentalists are always spouting, the average consumer age group for video games in America is in the 25-30 range.

I wonder if GW itself has a younger than average player base, or if this (admittedly tiny, so far) sampling is skewed by the average age of someone reading the forums regularly.

Regardless, I just barely missed the last category, so I guess I'm not old yet!
