Thank you Anet for listening rather quickly. The update was only a few days ago and you already made the correct adjustments. Now i dont have to worry about my fff alliance dropping. I been playing for 2 years now, and all i got going on in this game is fffing. Thank you again Anet, and Gaile for passing this on.

not a bad fix actually. it didnt mind the thing before as you were technically getting 3k faction then either faction or jade/amber as an extra reward but now it seems even better. people can now decide whether to go get 6k from 3k and a skill or put mroe effort into getting 10k from 5k.

still very active faction farmers can put up easily 20-25k per day, even without the boost, so if u want the gold u might still choose for amber without donating to the guild. The title will go less fast, but u get additional gold as income, still 20*150-200 gold (maybe this is overrated, im not aware of the prices). Its not much but better then nothing. The controlling guild leader cannot check for this. He only sees that there is a disagreement in numbers but not who is responsible.
Though I have to say that i like the adaption. I almost gained 80000 faction on title in a full day ( 8 hrs) or so.

Good update! Removed the lame exploit and then went further to give players a choice on what to do with their faction: use it for a more monetary gain or use it to increase their effort towards the title.
Thanks Anet for straightening this out quickly and intelligently.

Thank you Anet, this solution seems to solve most people's problem with the title taking to long to get, takes care of my problem of people in faction guilds being tempted to gain double title faction from creating/deleting characters instead of donating to the guild, and has the added benefit of increased membership from new title hunters for all the faction gathering guilds/alliances.
Cheers!!

While I would have loved to see a retroactive title for Luxon faction gained, it probably just wasn't possible to track how much jade/amber people bought. The update that allowed people to get double faction towards their title is a pretty fair fix though, even if it doesn't make the situation itself exactly fair. Overall I'm happy with the change.

i can sum up the rant from the greedy boy in sins... it goes like this:
boohoo, i worked so hard and lost all my friends in real life so i can faction farm my max title, now all these nubs can get the title by doing only half of what i did.. wah wah wah

Diddy bow
I like this change, even though my guild has no use for faction

if this was posted after that update yesterday and the factions reward guy in guild halls would still give skills to a <20lvl character:
it does seem weak however more hassle than just donating 5k and getting credit for 10k on the title.
obviously if this was originally posted before that patch then i guess we're all good now?
as far as that run: (not kurzick but i've played through that stuff...is it the one where you carry the groceries from hzh to lutgardis?) anyone who does it is bringing enough misery upon themselves to deserve the 400 faction and 150 gold. just that one part with the bridge and the necro boss is annoying enough to deter me. actually brought, "none shall pass" just for those warriors with the cripple these and kinda had fun timing it right a couple times before getting my 10k so my sin could cap moebius strikes.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Valens did not say he thought his title was cheapened, he did not say his alliance was going to fall. He did say that he did't like the fact that a R12 kurz can buy a kurzick skill and PWN everything at level 1 just because of the high title. When I read it, that was the main point I got out of it. I wasn't totally happy with the "exploit" either, but running FFF with guildies is still way faster and now gives you double title credit.
So the point of my post....I agree with Valens...it made keeping track of faction a pain but i'll deal with it in my guild, but I agree with the fact that a Level 1 toon shouldn't get insane damage skills just because of a title. It would be like using LB gaze on a level 2 LOL.
Yes I know the update has taken effect and fixed this issue so TY for reading and listening ANET ^^. Meh...so many flamers though talking about people complaining their titles were cheapened...So far I haven't seen one complaint of "My title is cheapened!" I have seen alot of recruits after FFF training though ^^

I don't see nothing wrong here, this is the first topic I see that is actually arguing because now it's easy to get kurz/lux faction, but guess you are saying that because that is all you do in your game time.
Me instead, I like to advance on all titles and do pvp, wich makes it virtually impossible to max out the k/l faction title.
