ArenaNet, as said, failed miserably at making a counter to leechers, since they don't care about how great the rewards are.
The updated faction won't do anything; FFF is still more efficient, and the grind for the Kurzick/Luxon skills is still way too much. But that's an issue for aother thread...
But why would ArenaNet tamper with Fort Aspenwood faction when it is so horrendously bugged, imbalanced, and easy to exploit?
Atleast ArenaNet appears to be listening to the community, though...

Sorry ANET this is a sad excuse for helping with gaining faction TITLES FOR SKILLS. This still does not account for the total faction people have been gaining for the last year that should be counted towards PvE skills.
Everybody please press "H" In game and tell us how much Faction did you gain "WASTE" over the last year that does not count towards an Allegiance rank Title.
1,234,400 Faction earned and not counted towards a town gone to waste.
SORRY ANET THIS DOES NOT "FIX" THE ISSUE.
I play AB and Aspenwood for fun, profit is minimal, and turning in faction for town ownership is stupid, always was and always will be.

Everytime I see that there is a new update I try to get the most out of the builds that are still viable, since it may be totally useless when next I log on.
This update does nothing to deter leechers, for the people who are praising Anet for listening to our concerns this week. What it will do, as it's been stated, is increase wait times for teams with the map in their favor because if the map is not in your favor, it's even less worthwhile to play with the decreased rewards. It will take leechers a little more time to gain faction (unless of course, they just switch to whichever side has map favor), but it doesn't deter them.

I don't AB because I hate standing around for hours lfg. But I kinda like the FA and JQ changes. Thanks Anet.
It won't solve the leecher problem but the extra bonus for winning is nice.
I'm sorry if I sound sarcastic. I'm actualy not trying to be. It's just the simple truth. The only way I see that can solve leeching is basicaly to render it useless. Reporting can lead to bad things, especialy against players that take this game way to seriously. Adjusting the rules in the game itself is the key here in my opinion. Anyway good update. I was glad not to see any skill nerfs....

As far as FA goes, i like the update. More points for winning is cool.
However, to be honest, it does not stop leechers. They get 100-160 points for winning, which isnt much, but the fact is that they dont waste their time at all, so even 160 is better than nothing. Let's say you're browsing websites, reading forums, chatting on MSN... all it takes is 1 mouse click for Enter Mission to earn 100+ Faction. And then you can go back to chats and browsing. It still pays off.
I don't know.. im sure this will discourage _some_ leechers, but how many i've no idea.

I think the update is a step in the right direction. At least we get more faction now for a win, nothing to complain about there. Sure it still takes a long time to get higher kurzick/luxon titles, but the skills are still usable even at low ranks, although I was hoping for a few of the pve skills to be buffed.
