I'm having trouble in all out posts I have been to. Even lagging in guildhall :/
Have some danish guildies, they have no problem. So I'm guessing the frankfurt server :/

Bleh. I can't even change to International District now - been trying for over 30 minutes, but keep getting kicked out with error 007.

In the (2 weeks+ ?) this has been going on, tonight has been by far the worst night for me. I live in the UK midlands.

Again it's not a problem of an outpost, I'm experiencing the extreme lag in every one instance on european servers - ip 206.xxx.xxx.xxx, international work perfectly fine.

My guild leader has 20mb Broadband and he's getting just as much lag as the rest of us.

Well after some fun Counterstrike, almost completely lag free, i tried again... eventually got into Int Dis (on the first attempt this time).

General lag seemed better today, I was getting a ping of <100 on a pretty stable basis. Bad news is I was experiencing a lag of 1-5s on guild chat instead.

Within our guild tonight we had:
1 person on 8k average ping(over 20 mins in our GH)
2 people err=7 ing when trying to connect to our GH(although 1 worked around the problem by going to an ID then porting to GH)
1 person getting erratic lag spikes
1 person(me) getting severe guild chat lag.

Not a great record out of the 9 people online.

Thank you for your help with both questions.
It kind of goes:

Start GW --about 30 secs
Login screen to outpost - 1 min to 5 min
outpost to trying to walk or move...anywhere from 10 secs to error 7
Repeat attempts whilst error 7 to get to international district..heavens knows how many times average was 11 times before i got to int district

Many of our guildies are UK based, they reported to me that they experienced the same as me. My pings were from 3 to 15 K and i am on a 16Mb broadband line with a 20:1 contention ratio. so after testing on various sites its not my line or my rig.
Visual route pro reports that its bottlenecking at Deutsche Telekom AG @ IP 62.154.17.18 (Frankfurt Am Main DE)with a 52 ms ping to that server, however it doesnt leave that server to get to NC interactive on IP 206.127.147.167
There isnt any highlight as to whether its in an outpost or not, just getting into the game is a chore Gaile!
Thanks for looking into this as we all thought, as did you, that it was fixed
Hers an ouput if this helps, from my trace program

log in: 2 minutes.
load random arenas last AD district: 3 minutes.
watching spells cast 13 seconds after you activate them: priceless.

Australia has always had worse than average ping on international games, but only by a few hundred ping and it is still playable (gives rangers and mesmers interrupting a significant disadvantage, but its playable).
However recently this has reached unplayable levels.
GVGs going at 3 FPS is not fun.
HA matches where you start moving at Time Elapsed: 2:27 are not fun.
This unplayable lag has only recently started over the past week or so and i can play other games completely fine. I have no other background programs running. I've sent support tickets when i get errors or lagged out, and the usual solution from support is that I'm using America Online(?) and so the lag is none of Anet's fault.
GG.

Hi Anet, my name is Australian Player Base. Leave me out in the dark much?

Thank you for the reports and the exceptional depth of information. I'm forwarding all to Network Support, and will continue to do so in the future.

Submitting a ticket, or updating your former ticket, would be marvelous, as the team could get data from the "then" and "now" viewpoint that may help nail down the cause of this problem.

Thank you very much.

The problem is getting progressively worse on this end (Euro servers). Every outpost other than GH takes 2-3 minutes to load if at all successful, lags and rubberbands so much as to be completely unplayable, and any attempt to change the district (even to international ones) results in err7 after a couple of seconds. I confirmed that the trace for the 206 server vanishes in a black hole somewhere in Germany

For a while I was unable to play at all because I couldn't even get to international districts but then I realized that a character parked at GH can map directly to an international district on the Battle Isles, and once set, the region stays the same for all characters during the session Tracing the 216 server showed that the connection hops pretty soon over the pond to NA without getting tangled into the knot in Germany.

You could have added another option at the top for "I was having big lag issues, but it has now completely gone."

I had major issues with alot of others during the festival, but the day after it was absolutely fine.

Ive had no lag lately including during the event, then logged in yesterday got extreme lag to the point were gw was unplayable (1 second playable, 10 second Freezing, 2 sec playable with rubber banding, 10 sec freezing, repeat...) and so logged out again. Im hoping it gets sorted soon. Had an average ping of about 11,000-15,000 (europe server) which isnt as bad as MMS but its still pretty bad.

Yep, lag strikes again.....I can't even log-in now. I've sent another diagnostics test to ANet showing the problem is in Frankfurt.....and I'm now considering whether it'll be worth buying EotN (why buy a game if you can't play it?).

Latency Issue Update – 13 July

Early this morning, maintenance was conducted in Frankfurt, Germany in the continuing effort to resolve latency issues experienced by those playing on or through the European servers. While the problem is not internal to Guild Wars, we are working with our external partners to resolve the matter. It is still too early to tell if today's maintenance completely solved the issue, but the network teams of ArenaNet and NCsoft will continue to monitor and work with the relevant partners if further measures are needed to resolve the matter.

Lag disappeared for me on Friday after the NCsoft maintenance, but today (Saturday) I'm getting pings ranging from 32ms to 12k+. Don't think the maintenance has fully fixed it tbh, and lag spikes are kicking in regardless or whether I'm in a town, mission or farming.

UK, 20MB cable bb, all other online games fine.

Well, didn't have any lag till today. I'm a Dutch player for the record. This afternoon ping values went up to 30000 regularly. I could play in international districs with pings between 150-400.

Now I can't even get to international districts or anything because I get stuck every time I map travel or go through a portal...that's to say each time I try to because it fails every time.

There are at least 15 emails in my inbox about this containing discussions between various teams in the US and Europe. We are very sorry that the Lag Monster seems to have returned, and we're all back on highest alert to get this resolved.

You may have read the Network News where some information was provided about what's been going on. We are working again with the vendor to get this sorted out.

Well I have had bad lag for 2 weeks up until Tuesday, all was fine untill 20 minutes ago and then lag spikes of 10k started while playing in DoA.

Don't know what happened but the problem has come back, international districts are a little better but the elastic band effect still makes a few appearences.

... at least I could do some trading, sorting my inventories during the last 2 weeks (except the past few days, when everything was fine again)... but with those Error 07 every 5-10 minutes I can't do anything.

I've played for more than 2 years. I've never experienced such prolonged severe lag. There have sure been periods earlier where lag was a problem, but lately it has been consistent and persistent. Last night I just gave up - it was no fun at all when a character jumps around like a rabbit on drugs.
