PC gamers just seem to enjoy having something to blame when a game doesn't meat their expectations. I'm sure anyone who's studied marketing can back me up. ![]() |
The same motivation that results in a game being simplified (A), namely an interest in appealing to a broader gaming market (C), is also the motivation for making a formerly PC-exclusive title available on consoles (B). Therefore, when one sees a company moving in the direction of making a game available on consoles, one has reason to be concerned that it may be dumbed down as well. That is, A is not necessarily caused by B, B is not necessarily caused by A, but A and B are correlated because they are both symptoms of C. Observing A or B is then reason to fear that the other will occur shortly. Fair?
