Buying GW:EN through in-game store, question.

My concern is about the 10hour/trial that we get with our purchase of the GW:EN expansion. If I were to buy it from the in-game store, will that trial key be locked to only my account or can I give it to my friend who wants to try the game out?

hm do you even get it from the store? when I bought factions in the store it was just factions access, no extras at all...

I would assume it is just like the book of keys, except in e-mail form. which would mean you can give them to your friend.

The trial is tied to your account, yes. It's given as automatic access to the three campaigns, to introduce them to those who play Guild Wars but may not have played one or more of the campaigns.

Sorry, this is not a "buddy key" for you to give to a friend. I will be happy to ask about that for the future, though. And there is a 10-hour/14-day Trilogy Trial available at a lot of retailers for less than two bucks, if someone is interested.

So for those of us who already have all 3 campaigns, it's a useless feature.

well gaile, thank you very much. I appreciate your response, even though i want a trial key for my friend I'm still buying Eye of north from ingame store so i can get the bonus pack.

The info. of trial keys offered at retailers for 2 bucks is very helpful, i don't mind paying for that.

on that note gaile (and to catch you outside of Riverside), will these trial packs be made available outside of the states, like in UK?
