Ban Heroes from HA and GvG?

The R0 doesn't cry about "rank elitism."
He/She researches builds.
He/She joins random (pick up) groups a.k.a "pugs"
He/She friendslists those they do well with.
He/She actively searches for a HA guild, or talks with their current leader into getting guild HA time.
He/She plays more than likely "fotm" builds until a certain point, be this r3,r6.
He/She and friends learn the maps and favorable tactics.

The above is things that people can do when first setting foot into HA. I researched builds, pugged, friendlisted people sooooooooooooooooooo why can't Johnny No Rank? Although the answer is pretty obvious.

Since R0 allllll the way to (you guessed it!) r9 people are making Hero teams (which are all the degen crap, don't say they are not either) people don't pug as much.


Oh and the raging cause r9s are not letting you into group cause you're r3 is not elitism. People of that rank want to play with similarly ranked people. While rank is not skill it is experience. What YOU are experienced in we will not know. Underlined: This is called being a moron, not elitism.

1. I don't think Leeloof is asking to be ruler of Heroes Ascent.
2. I don't see "Happy r9 Tiger Day" in Heroes Ascent. If you keep winning battles in HA bhavv, even if it's one fame a day one day you will be at r9 correct. So raging about people being higher ranked then you is pointless when you can obtain the same rank they do. What does their being r w/e have to do with your rank status. If my guild leader /ranks it's a tiger. If one of my friends /ranks it's a tiger. No matter what, it's still a tiger emote. Remember that one day, YOU will be "high ranked", when this occurs does that automatically make you elitist? Even if you say "No it certainly doesn't!" What's to say some unranked doesn't accuse you of this "elitism"?


So how did low ranks get to play HA before Factions or Nightfall? Why am I gonna play with someone I don't know. It has nothing to do with rank. I don't know them. Let's share the secret to Heroes Ascent. Pug and friendlist people you do well with. Make groups with them. You'll have a synergy with your new friends eventually. Join a HA guild. Play with them. Answer my question yes or no bhavv: You realise most high ranked people play with guild/friendslist people, right? Same for me, I play with friends, friends of friends, guild/alliance.



Skill is pretty non existant when it comes to Heroway, which is also a gimmick.

The only thing you learn from Heroway is that Olias is pretty gosh darn good at maintaining enchantments.

Rank, as it stands, is still a bad benchmark of experience though. I know several rank 1s and 2 players who GvG 3 times every other day for the last few months. They are definately superior to most rank 7 players who IWAYed there way to the top over a year ago.

The problem with HA is that many don't want to play FotM builds (ie, I don't want to have to play a blood spiker) but find it more FUN (the point of playing any game after all) to play something with more finenesce like an interupt ranger or domination mesmer in a balanced group. The problem is that good players who want to play something different or creative often have a hard time finding PuG groups. It's easy to find this month's cookie cutter group. It takes HOURS to find a group to do ANYTHING else, and that group will break up probablly after two runs.

Thus why people use heros, to fill in the blanks so it doesn't take 2 hours to create a group since nobody is playing the specific build that that team wants. Sure, some people abuse heros by creating gimmicky builds. The thing is, people, rather then trying to develop counters to them with creative new builds, insist on staying inside the box (perpetuating what I mentioned in paragraph two). Thus, rather then developing counters, everybody continues to cry for nerfs.

GG Anet, maximum number of heroes in HA is now 2 . So it does pay off by posting an idea here...
