Altrumm Ruins: Monk Screen-saver
frojack
Could it really get any more obvious than this? Go to Altrumm Ruins to see a sea of monks, perpetually zoning and going out into Arborstone. It's kinda' relaxing to watch. Much like a screen saver. Int district is my favourite.
Question is, wtf is Anet doing about it? This has been happening for days. Is this the 'active' vigilance they were talking about?

Youll proberly never see the same bot for long. But i wonder how they can ban so and so many bots per second and miss the obvious ones O_o.

I was in Granite Citadel and noticed several monk bots, all named "A- M--- M--- x", with each ending in an alphabetically sequenced letter in place of the 'x'. E, F and H were there at the time and a minute or so later here came G trotting in the door. Hard to imagine that there aren't 22 more of these, representing the complete alphabet.

Another bot thread...
Banning few hundred per day. Is that enough for you?

Seriously - once again - WHY DO YOU CARE?
It is A.net's problem.
Not yours.
So why the **** do you give a ****?

We farm hard everyday earning money fairly and legally while some other guy sets up these bots to earn money for him then sells them to people who buy gold for real money. That's cheating and it's pretty unfair to us casual players.

Yes well how can you ban so many, and miss so much? Like a constant sea of obvious bots. Is there a limit to how many can get banned a week? It's not that I give a crap about what the bots are doing. It's Anet's deal right? Actually no it isn't.
When innocent people are getting banned because they seem like a bot (bot like behaviours, doing the robot dance or whatever), or are transferring lotsa' cash around because Anet are being more 'vigilant', to see such an obvious bot-fest that's been consistent for over a week is a bit 'wtf'.
The point is, the 'fair' players have been penalised because of the bad for a while now. It happens in every environment where a few abuse the system illegally and the powers that be implement arbitrary mechanics that affect everybody. It can't be helped. However when it's this friggin' obvious, you have to question if the energy spent tackling this problem could be put to better use. Especially when Anet seem intent on further persecuting the non-botters...
Anyways whatever. Call it passing along info...

They ban obvious ones. The problem is: People keep making them, so you'll always have bots, and most of the time, obvious ones.

Try to find the humor in the whole thing. I had to run thru there the other day (was working on Elite skill hunting) when I had to go to Arborstone explorable. All I thought: I'm in Pamplona. It's the 'Running of the bots.'

Anet is banning these bots but the bots always come back. These people are just way to set on the profit these bots give them. Also its not like Anet can just ban all of them at once. They ban a few hundred per day most likely and keep doing so, but theres tons of these bots and theres always some that find ways back. the bot population is most likely going down tho thanks to attempts by Anet.

They're should be a sticky thread telling people unless they have something really new to add to the vast sea of bot threads we already have they shouldn't post a new thread about it.

The bots are certainly more active in the american servers - I guess just more pve players there...

There are plenty of threads about the bot issue, so if you really must post about it, please find one of them.
