One of my guildies had made a fair amount of money selling things on the guru forums. I was like "Hey, I've got crap to sell imma jump on those forums and get rich!!". I didn't get rich but I found a useful resource and a nice community (unless they're whining about something).

I became a Guru member 1 day after I bought and started playing Prophecies, ya know, when it was still called just "Guild Wars" I searched around for the biggest and best forum community, but got tired of searching and settled for Guru

Joined to have fun with OT forums :P,had a good community, and I enjoyed GW enough when playing with my friend who got me into it that I joined a few forums like this great one. Somehow, I actually spend more time on the forums and the wiki more than I do playing atm...(odd isn't it? nah, waiting for GW:EN)
