Vekk's is voiced by Maurice LaMarche, who is famous for his voice-over work. One of his most notable characters is The Brain, an intelligent but diminutive mouse, in a similar vein as Vekk.
OMG
Elena: So Vekk what we going to do ?
Vekk: The same thing we do everyday.
Vekk Try to take over the world!

Nice find. I'm deff kicking Master of Whispers out of Livia. As A child you grew up in the 90s, I am psyched to hear Vekks voice

Good point. I guess they didn't want more Goths in GW:EN or perhaps ANet are just plain turtle lovers.
Kahmu's armor looks great! Better than most armor pictures I've seen so far...
I suppose Vabbians gotta have their bling.

Man, I REALLY want Vekk now. My guild are gonna be SO fed up of me on teamspeak:
'Their Rippy and the Vekk, Yes Rippy and the Vekk...' Etc etc.
Yeah. I hope he sounds like the Brain. I REALLY do.

Why is it that the rit is the only one who has visible head armor on?

I'm glad theres no Kurzick hero....would most likely be a Lukas copy.

I just want gwen...and to be able to use 7 heroes
Absinth187
This list has been on wiki for at least a week, but yeah...excited!
RainwalkerC
just more skins... no practical values having 10 more new heroes, since u can only use 3 at a time anyways, except now u can have 3 of the same type
Steps_Descending
Rain walker:
True it's only more skins. and that you can now have a 3 hero of the same type.
And all i have to say is : "woot Gwen is a mesmer!"

I can't wait for that! Some of the very best groups I've been in have been all the same class. Rangers, assassins, ritualists each bringing their same-class hero. The mobs just get slaughtered.

As for my Mesmer with Gwen, and Norgu they will make great companions with my own Mesmer Honeylips Rose. Gwen going Fast Casting Fire Ele, Norgu Domination and myself Illusion that will be an interesting Trio of Mesmers dominating the landscape.
Overall this game will be a great ending to a fantastic series of games.
Cant wait.

Well, I'm never using Koss, Goren, MoW, Olias, or General Morgahn again...
I'm a bit confused about the Tyrian sin and paragon, though...

I put together quite a few ranger-only groups in the Crystal Desert. People thought I was bonkers (noob, idiot, etc etc, yada yada). I got the groups though, always, and not one of them had any monk skills - just Troll ung.
Eight barragers wiped out all enemies from afar before they had a chance. It isn't always the best strategy to be diverse in classes - sometimes the best way is to be class-phobic!
Now I get to add in Pyre too - that's gonna be pretty nice.

Anyone else notice the bit about Pyre being the son of [wiki]Vatlaaw Doomtooth[/wiki]? Wonder how he'll react when he finds out we killed his old man all those years back...

I've known Gwen was going to be the mesmer hero since almost 2 months ago. Where have all you been?

Koss is pretty close to being a Kurzick. His armour even resembles Kurzick armour.
He's also very similar to Lukas.

Hayda could of originated from Elona. The Chinese Manual was roughly translated by a poster and her translated description ( i know its not 100%) was she wanted to travel the world and one day become a legendary hero. She could of broke free of the Sunspears and headed to Tyria.
Anton on the other hand is stated to be Ascalonian.....its possible he choose to become a freelance Assassin rather than head to Shing Jea to study further. I'm guessing he was put on death row after Assassinating someone and getting caught (i cant really see Ascalon being like Cantha and letting people run around killing each other)
It wouldnt be too hard to become an Assassin really...
Oh and thank you for pointing me to that info about Pyre - I find little things like that interesting. It will be fun to see how it pans out (if at all Pyre got along with Vatlaw)
Off-topic: Just noticed Anet are now saying Eye of the North takes place 8 years after the searing. So this makes Gwens narratation a flashback?

First thing I thought of when I read the background of Anton was, "Hey, why can't we make Ascalonian sins, too!?"
natuxatu
I've said it before and I"ll say it again.. I kinda like some of their armor better than most of ours. But yeah the necro is hot
julien

0siris
awesome news thanks for posting this Patrick
I really wish they allowed at least 6 heroes per party though It gets annoying having to whip out the second account or ask a buddy to supply the extra heroes for that odd vanquish run here and there heheh

Sounds like the heroes in this game will each have much more detailed backgrounds than in nightfall. Can't wait to play this game . Only a week until the preview!

Did anyone read Gwen's description?
"Gwen is an Ascalon woman in the Ebon Vanguard, who narrowly escaped the Charr 8 years ago in the Searing. She was affected greatly by the event that destroyed her home kingdom, and now lives for revenge. "
In the video Gwen said she left 6 years ago? Am I correct?

"Pyre Fierceshot is a Charr ranger hero in Eye of the North. He is an outcast, disowned by the Shaman due to his anger at the Titans being used as an excuse to destroy Ascalon. Despite this, there are still tensions between him and Gwen. He is the son of Vatlaaw Doomtooth."
Thats pretty cool.

In the video Gwen said she left 6 years ago? Am I correct? A Dev on the wiki confirmed it is set 8 years after the searing.
Argon Draeth
to those confused about tyrian paragons, sins etc:
just because assassins are exclusive to factions for us, doesnt mean that they are exclusive to factions for NPC's. for all we know, theres a nice little assassin training camp hidden anyway somewhere in the shiverpeaks that our characters have no access to :P *pictures togo sending assasins away after graduation, the sins setting up schools in hidden corners of tyria and elona*
