GW:EN Intro Screen Music - Annoying or what?
plasmasword
Have you even listened to more then the first 20 seconds of it? It stops repeating the first loop after that...

Guess you didn't take the "Emotional Responses 101" class.
And for the record.... I'm dedicated enough to Guild Wars... but small things irritate me much more easily than major things. Don't even ask for an explanation of that. Might I recommend your next class be Anger Management, followed by Learning to Cope.
As was asked already, are you purposely staying on the login screen to annoy yourself? The forums are great, but some seem overly free to express every little emotion they have just because they have an audience.

I love the new music! The Nightfall soundtrack was so dull it felt like ambient noise after a while, except for the combat music which was so repetitive (and loud, compared to the rest) I'd turn it off if I could.
Performance Pudding
i remember it sounding good...
Miss Puddles
i find the music repetitive and annoying.
the scenery is pretty tho.

I choose the "or what" option.
I have the ds bonus music for SF, Factions and NF so I get quite a bit of 'extra' music. "Tome of Rubicon," the EotN theme, stands out as one of my favorites, if not the favorite. There is so much great music in the game though so many would work just fine for me. I think Tome is perfect with it's thunderous, climactic bravado of brass seems very fitting for the 'conclusion' of GW1. If I turn it up loud enough and let it sink in it gives me the 'chills.'

Nightfall's soundtrack/theme was terrible (and faaaar more repetitive than that of EotN), and I've hated it from the very minute it replaced the old Factions login music. While I would find it cool if they let us individually pick from all the menu variations they've had to date, EotN relates to the nostalgia that alot of veteran players feel for the original Prophecies campaign and lore.

I love the GWEN log screen!
Shadow
I can't even remember the Prophecies/Factions login.

Quite the opposite. I log on. I immediately find the character I want to play as and get into the game. However, as I play the game, I collect things that I want to keep and put in the inventories of my storage characters. They accumulate until the vault is full... and then I have a LOT of character-swapping to do in order to get everything stored in the right place. That... naturally.... involves the first few seconds of the GW:EN intro music over and over and over again.... and since the first few seconds themselves are just a repetition of the same short sequence over and over again themselves.... that makes repetition squared. I have rather complex musical tastes. Not saying they are better than anyone else's.... but I prefer complex music... with little if any repetition. Simplistic music just bugs me... and I can't understand why anyone would like it. Apparently they do though. Go figure. I personally think Jeremy Soule did MUCH better on the Morrowind intro than on GW:EN's. Absinth187

Enrollment for Fall classes are still open. Better hurry.

You must fill your bags crazy fast to keep the music repeating that much, but there is an easy fix. Volume Level = 0 Then pop in some Bach or Tchaikovsky or whatever. moriz
i like the GW:EN intro music. it's the kind of music that makes me wanna scream "CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRGE!!!!!" at the top of my lungs.
but yeah, i do prefer the Factions intro music and look. at least that doesn't run at 11fps if i turn my shaders up. FX5500 PCI ftl. Mclarenf1905
