Multi-class Armor Sets seen in the video: Explained

So I made it to the HoM, and set up my Obsidian armor for display, and saw this:



So when you display your armor, it won't display *your* armor, but more of a placeholder stating that you've gotten that set.

Just so ya know. Sorry if anyone got their hopes up about this, even though it's known to be character based...

I'm sorry to say but HOM just get's worse and worse....

Mini's have to be customized per character.
Armor is per character but not actually reflecting the real armor per character.

I'm beginning to feel a little let down with HOM - really looking forward to GW:EN (so far it's great) but HOM is a big letdown IMO right now.....

for anyone in or able to get into the hom can you display lower level armor or is it for prestige armor types only?

Ascended armors only I think. Gonna try crafting a shing jea set and see if I can show it.

I hate to be negative twice in one day, but if that's the final version of how that works (showing armor that's not even yours), then that's just plain stupid.

Really, really stupid.

Almost as stupid as the utterly unbearable mini-pet customization.

What's next? If I enshrine my beloved pet Moa, do I get a statue of a lynx?

Not that I'd go enshrining my dearest pet that I've had since day one. After learning about the mini-pet deal, goodness knows what might happen to poor Redfeather.

HoM is a gimmick, don't get so worked up over it.

Agree. Can't understand the sensation on guiding other people through your virtual wardrobe and proving them something (whatever that might be).

The HOM was presented as something to immortalize your achievements in GW1. The pic in the OP makes it look to be an extremely far cry from what "immortalized" should entail.

I think the biggest mistake Anet made was to make HoM sound bigger of a deal than it is.

Indeed. Personally I think of this whole HoM thing as something I'd GRIND (for the lack of a better word) for in order to gain something *special* in GW2 as promised.

But to be honest, I don't really feel like working on it. I mean, you don't even have any slightest idea of how it is going to be like, or HOW GW2 is going to be like for that matter. Working on this such thing seems so pointless to me now.

And I've just put my male mesmer vabbian armor on the monument, only to see male paragon vabbian AND female necro vabbian armors on the display instead (God knows why they chose these 2). Fun!

Bug? or that is the way the HoM was developed? I am curious!

That's JUST the way it is. The monument doesn't show you which armor you've unlocked, but instead show you the name of the set you've unlocked, along with some examples of armors from such set.

Lame. But let's just act like a fanboi now, shall we?

If I put my Assassin's 15k Kurzick up there and it shows warrior Batman armour.... I am going to be seriously annoyed.

Do you need the entire set of an armor to place it in HoM? I don't use a knights helm but have 15k knights set.

I thought it would be more..Impressive.Like this big hall and you can put swords on standards and bows on the wall,things like that.

What a huge let down, i haven't read one good thing about the hall yet

I'm sure they'll fix it, it's obvious that's a half hearted stand-in for the armor until the release.
