Are there any quests/things you can do so far to get the animal aspects/forms?

Leader of the Pack received by Hogni Truthseeker near the southwest corner of Drakkar Lake gives you a quest to get the Volfen Blessing. other then that, I dunno the others.

Looks like you can get a quest for each of the three aspect changes after you do the primary quest where you get it temporarily.

And first you have to do the quest "Truthseeker" (available in one of the outposts).

"Well they're bugged at the moment, your appearence doesn't change"

Your appearance isn't supposed to change. They aren't Forms or Disguises.

Look at it, the Norn uses a skill called Bear Form.

You're just using a blessing to bring out the animal's power within you.

Heh well thats kinda stupid, would be better to actually take the form rather then just get a bunch of new skills. Rather have it like avatars.

Call me wierd but the concept of a pack of puppes and pidgeons killing destroyers in the depths doesnt seem too crash hot.

The temp forms during the quests do not change your toon, you just get a list of skill changes... IDK if the toon will eventually change into a new form or not. Maybe something thats not done yet. like a few of the Devish avatars were during the beta for NF...

Heh I would point out that I would assume that raven/wolf forms probably be simular to the bear form, probably something anthroish. who knows.

I believe the Norn's bear form is a racial ability, not a skill. So it's something they can all do, but not something they can teach. I don't think any of us are going to be shapeshifting; not until GW2 anyway.

Probably not, but it feels a bit odd to change skills and everything, but look the same, it feels like theres some animation or something missing, anyone else find this?

I know the Norn will change, but we can not unlock her skills yet... But the norn heroes are expected to do form changing. But I think your right when we have them as temp poweres we may not have any change cause we are not norns. so I guess that makes sence...

I agree that it's extremely lame and disappointing that you can't turn into a Bear or the other forms. When I first saw a Norn turn into a bear I thought: "Wow, that's the coolest thing I've ever seen in GW". Then I find it you, the player, can't do. it went from the coolest thing I ever seen to complete crap.

They should definitely turn your character into the animals while you are in the forms of those animals.

i got the raven blessing (elite) from the same guy that gives the volfen blessing quest (stated above). can't remember what the quest was called though, i was zonked out during that time and needed sleep.

don't sweat it. the current abilities aren't as disappointing as some people are making them out to be; there will be much fur and feathers to be had in gw2

can't wait for FUR! and lots OF IT!

If, upon final release, these don't actually change your appearance, I'm just going to scream. Really I will.

Loudly.

There's lame, and then there's LAAAAAAAAAAAAAME.

What, did they give us the sneak peek to show us all the reason's we shouldn't buy GW:EN? (coughHoMcough)

When you get the blessings there are only 5 skills.

Maybe the other 3 slots will get filled with skills as you go through the storylines of each blessing?

Much the same as junundu seige which you do not get as soon as you can use a junundu bar.

It wouldn't make sense to actually change into the animals, it would make the Norn abilities completely worthless. But it's still a lot of fun using the skills, particularly the bear ones.

Regardless of shapeshifting, the bear aspect is awesome. I was able to tear through the 'Blood Washes Blood' quest at full speed using it.

Lol @ "only norns can transform" bullshit. ANET has made more ridiculous things make sense.

For $40 it had better turn me into an animal.

And why wouldn't you gain the ability to transform in this game? After all you are helping the norn and honourary Norn. heh maybe if you get high enough reputation rank you can transform that would be interesting.

No it wouldn't make the Norn abilities completely worthless considering that there is no option to be a Norn in GW1. And no, it isn't fun being told you are a Bear or Wolf or Raven yet you still look exactly the same as you always do whilst you are those animals.

I wanna be a Bear now in EOTN, not 2 years from now in a completely different game. The excuse "Only Norn can change forms" is a really lame cop-out.

If they can give you a bear spirit and bear attacks like they do in EOTN, then they can definitely just as well give you a Bear body also in EOTN. Having a bear body makes every bit as much sense as having a bear spirit and bear attack skills does.

Not that a video game "making sense" should ever take precedence over fun and lead to fun gameplay features being gimped and having the fun sucked right out of them, as is happening here with animal forms that don't change your apperance at all.

I was thinking along the same lines, but then I remembered how short of a time it is to the release, so I'm thinking the chance for major changes will be slim unless implemented in a future update or is some ability needed further into the game.

Sorry if you don't find it enjoyable, but it does tell you that you only gain the aspect of the animals, not the actual form. They have never once said that you would be able to transform into animals, either in the previews or the game itself.

Ramming through wooden barricades and slaughtering an entire encampment of Charr single handedly, in my opinion was very enjoyable, dispite not actually looking like a bear.

I actually love that it doesn't change my appearance. It is a way to have a class/weapon combo that looks good but would be a poor build otherwise (ie. un-avatar-ed dervish with daggers).

I love these spirit forms.

Yes! Please A-Net make animal forms available to all classes so that instead of joining a group of human characters, I can join a group of random animals instead. Next, you can drop the name Guild Wars and rename it Zoo Wars to better reflect the style of the game. Also, what's all this crap about having to use a skill slot for the animal skills and being limited to certain areas only? I should be able to use my bear form whenever and where ever I want, even in towns, and especially in pvp. This is my game because I paid for it and I should be able to dictate it's design because it's my money. Thank you.

It's your money, but you also gave the money to be able to PLAY not dictate it's design :S I'm confused dude.. that just sounds stupido I DON'T WANT IT TO CHANGE SO NO THANKYOUUUUUU And besides, Bear Form may be available in Guild Wars 2, but you can't use existing characters, and you can choose the Norn, or Asura races as well as maybe the charr(i don't know I forgot.. but I'm sure about asura and norn).
