What about the people who spent 26+ € already?
Obey The Cat
I've bought 5 char slots some months ago. I've got 14 now.
You think 14 are too many? I think so too.
And I don't get it why I should now buy 3 more slots to get the advantage of the bonus mission pack.
I'm very disappointed by this, I hate anet for this. I will never own the mission pack although I've spent 5x8.99€ = ~45€ for char slots in time.
Please anet, think about people like me and let us get the bonus pack "for free".
Feel free to /sign ed.

This is no different than any retailer having a sale or promotion. You comply with x during period y to z. You then receive promotional item a. What you may have purchased before the event (or may purchase after the event is over) does not qualify.

Pretty much anytime you buy anything you run the risk of missing some future opportunity. Be it a lower price, a "freebie" given away as in enticement to get you to part with more of your money, or anything else. As I see it, that's just one of the many risks we all share in life.
BTW, I have 4 accounts (got them before you could add char slots, and it's kind of a long story how it all happened), and probably 50 slots across all of them (added so that I could create new characters in particular accounts). Was this a stupid thing to do? Perhaps some would judge it so (and I certainly wouldn't defend it), but I've had fun with it and don't regret spending the money on it.

I own ALL gw titles. you can buy something useful in other shops but not in anet's shop. you can NOT compare anets shop to regular shops.
there is now absolutely NO CHANCE to get the mission pack... except buying some slots I don't need.

ummm buy gwen.... be smart.

Or Anet could just sell the bonus mission pack on their store.
That would make the most sense.

Well, I have all campaigns on all 4 of my accounts as well. I plan to add GW:EN to all 4 as well (so I can play there with all of my chars). It would be nice if I could combine them somehow (probably would only reduce it down to two if I could, it's handy having two accounts for transferring stuff around).
Coridan
its not about what you did for me yesterday or last week but what are you doing for me right now!
Buy GW:EN from the in game store and be done with it or buy a pvp unlock pack.

Anet will most likely sell the map pack in the future via GWs store. Their entire revenue is based on these sales, so I don't see them not releasing something that would be purchased by such a large percentage of their market.
As for receiving it free, you're unlucky. As stated previously, whenever you make a purchase you're risking losing out to a promotion/discount price in the future. You've no ground to complain about that.

after acquiring 1 of each chapter x2 accounts, I've made the switch A-net store purchases from now on, lest my house be overrun by GW boxes.
HawkofStorms
Exactly, the whole reason for this mission pack is to keep people from purchasing the box set since by just handing out the code on the internet, the company saves money on distribution.
VanDamselx
I sort of agree with this, only because I bought 2 character slots a while ago and would have probably added one more for the sake of this promotion. I'm not going to able to afford GW:EN for quite some time (which really sucks because I want to play new content) and I just hope I can some point before the bonus pack promotion ends.

I really should start keeping track of the treads that are just about people wanting somthing the think they "deserve". Im betting it is over 50% of the threads.

BMP was announced 07/05 (2 months ago)

The reason why I'm going with EOTN via ingame store is lack of any CE/SE or "bonus" in-game items. This also includes lack of any special / exclusive DirectSong packs.
This will also satisfy the requirements for the bonus missions. I'm likely to also pick up the Faction PvP edition (for hero skill unlocks as well).

The promotion is designed so that people can take advantage of it by buying GW:EN in the online store...it's not limited to GW:EN....but it is ideally timed so people can buy GW:EN and easily get the mission pack.
I've been complaining about the people who've gotten their copies of GW:EN early...such as yourself...you don't have to deal with the potential lag that will happen in the online store and you will be able to go right into gw:en...plus you have the dvd, manual, map, and whatever else that comes with it. The trade off is that I don't have to go anywhere...if the purchase goes smoothly I will get the game within a few minutes of launch. Then again I could be slowed down by lag...I don't get the nifty dvd, manual, map, etc...but I do get the mission pack.
I could probably easily go out and buy GW:EN right now from a retail store but I chose to stick it out and buy it from the online store because I want to get the bonus mission pack. You chose the other option....so no mission pack for you! </soup nazi>
The details of the mission pack promotion have been out for a while now (nearly 2 months)...it was made clear well before now that gw:en was the primary means for people to get the bonus mission pack...and since you chose to ignore than and get your nifty map/manual/dvd...deal with it or suck it up and buy some more character slots. No one to blame but yourself.

I like boxes and manuals, i like having hard copy of my games, however I am buying GW:EN from the online store and that is in order for me to get the BMP. I for one would be dissapointed if they later released the BMP as a stand alone product in the online store. That would mean that I lost out on the box and manual of GW:EN.
I can understand y anet would later release it as a stand alone product and I certainly wouldn't blame them for it, but i definately would be dissapointed.

Personally I don't need another dvd/manual/map to a game that I can download easily off the net. I mean...for games that are single player and don't have online sources...I'll buy a copy at a retail store. For online games that can be easily downloaded from the source...it makes perfect sense to download it rather than getting a copy of the game that will just sit on a shelf gathering dust...I have way too many of those boxes sitting on my shelf gathering dust.

This is like buying a new computer, then a month later the same computer gets a special offer where you get a free set of speakers, and you coming back and saying, "Hey, when I bought my computer last month I didn't get the free set of speakers! I want some!"
Steep
I brought my game from a store, mainly because i pre ordered the game before i found out.. plus it will most likely be cheaper then getting it from the store and got it free delivered for the day before. Plus i do like the box.
But i know what the choice were, i could have cancelled my pre order but didnt.
I would like another option for buying it, if not, no biggy ill just buy some pvp packs or slot or something else (if something else it released).

I mean, I would pay for the missions. Maybe 4€.
But I guess they will never sell them regular.
Anyway: Not having the mission pack is no problem for me until you can get weapons there which you can NOT find in the regular game. And I think, I've read something like this.

You have not read that (nothing like that has been confirmed).
And they probablly would sell it some time down the line (like in a year). Mo' money no problems.
