Holy cow that gold seller pm'd you with an AD? That's ridiculous!?! The audacity! If only there's more we can do than just reporting them...

I get these every now and then, I take screenshots but I never get around to reporting it. I usually just add them to ignore list for a while.

I received a simular message, took a screenshot , and reported it ....

Got the same thing too and it was within 10 min of me "W T B" something for a resanable ammount in the trade channel.
Guess they watch the trade chat and note down names or it was just a coincedence.
Either way it IS against the EULA to buy gold.

I did the same thing....for about 30 minutes straight.

They never replied

they are desperate for business. the word is out. using it period is a bannable offense. Now that they are going after BOTH sides of the transaction, its hurting their illegal business model. that and Anet closing a install loophole that they were exploiting for literally 1000s of trial accounts that never actually got used, just plugged into in order to deal their advertising spam for 14days at a time. Add to it that their prices are skyrocketing because of lack of inventory from banned farm bots... Its a good day to be a GW player. Gold resellers banning is always a great day. Now that they are PMing people to advertise, they are sorely mistaken to think that can not be tracked by Anet at a report... Every aspect of the game can be checked on demand. So this is disturbing, but it shows how naive these people truly are. That they think they are protected in doing it in this way... Just keep reporting them folks. they are in their death throws as we speak. All the better I say.

I too have gotten these pms, mainly over last few days, i was figuring it was random bots in random towns, till they started when i was in missions....

In towns, they can have a bot run around and select closest person, then Control and Enter to select name to whisper, then spam whatever, they could easily do this with Tabbing also.....

I think it was probably your name was picked up from one in a town, then they can just list them, or copy them to something, bots can do about anything a human can....

just my 2 cents...

Also, trial keys, trial accounts cant trade, but they sure can pm and all that... so these wont be easy to just "get rid of"

Just ignore them I can't be bothered to report them, it is a waste of my time as I doubt A-net will do anything anyway.

I got one a few days ago. You ask them if you can have the gold now and pay later.

But I used to play WoW *throws up* and you used to get them all the time, PMs,mail box, they'd join your party and stuff.

I was told from a ex-guildie that they pm people from their customer data base which have brought from them in the past,but im sure he is mistaken thoe.

I think it is enough just enough to spend lot of time in district 1. Preferably taking active part in trade spam.

Spaming trade chat = You either WTS and want money. Or WTB and could use more money. Ideal customer filter.

I got the exact same message last night 3 times while I was doing dungeons. It is getting annoying as hell.
