I got two from different folk a few days ago, took a pic of the message, but havent reported yet, I don;t usually get whispers though coz most of the time im offline so that i wont be disturbed by strange messages.

Didn't realise this was becoming a phenomenon, its rather annoying and as pointed out very stupid on the part of the gold sellers. Now it is blatantly obvious that they are sellign and easily reported.

However there is the possibility that thsi could be an implementation on Anet's part to catch out those that would buy.

You pretty much get it from Party Search. I haven't been playing too much the past few months, never got any before, but I popped my name into Party Search in LA somewhat, and pretty much instantly got a PM.

that sounds stupid, the previous customers wouldn't need encouraging to use it again, they would either be glad to do it again, or wouldn't do it again ever. At least i doubt they could persuade anyone with this,

Nope; I'm in your wagon too.

Guess how easily I use DnD prevents it... Despite convos from friends, DnD goes on if I receive BS from any one.

I've never got a whisper from a goldseller until today, when it seemed two different sellers wanted to bomb me until I set them to ignore.

Same site as the OP pic.

I'm guessing anyone that paid would have their email in a registration so they wouldn't need to target past customers in game.

I've seen this in local chat and even got one in a whisper. You can report them but they're probably using a free trial account. Hopefully ArenaNet will take more action in getting the websites that sell ingame gold shut down.
