Kinda bumping this thread to get the discussion going again...
I LOVE guildwars, but I took a 5 months break (it ended 1 month ago...do the math :P ).
Before my 5 months break, I could run GW on "2nd to best" quality, and hardly have any ping (usually 100-200 ping).
Then I took a 5 months break, but now, when I came back:
My ping is HORRIBLE, about 3k-5k. The only way I can HOPE to play, is to set the game to minimum requirements, and yesterday even THAT didn't work.
Plus, I have an NVIDIA GeForce FX 5200 Graphics card...which I found (I thought it may be my video card) can only run Guildwars on Minimum requirements...which is quite confusing because 6 months ago guildwars ran perfect on 2nd to best graphics o.O
Help?
Insane Lag (1000 - 100, 000 ping area)

Its been such a long time since I originally posted in this thread about the issues I was having. I Churned away from Dodo to Internode, and havnt really had any issues since. There has been the occasional time Ive lost my connection all together, and have never experienced lag like that under normal play circumstances.

So you switched router?

I am having constant ping / latency of 1500 to 5000...
I'm on internode.
I am using NOD32 which i disable.
Windows Vista 32bit
Haven't played in years but first time playing on my new-computer / ISP
I've unticked QoS and plugged my computer directly to the modem and it doesnt change anything.
What is wrong?
