Relic of Rin, Diessa's Chalice, wrong drop rate?

People who tryed to farm these in Cathedral of Flamme know how long it is to drop even one single piece. It's nearly absurd how low the drop rate is (arround two drop in a 8 man run °°).

Recently Anet changed the drop rate of Destroyer Core, because it was said bugged.
So I wonder if there is also a bug with the drop rate of those items.


What do you think?




Note: these are used too make two different headgears in Cathedral of Flamme.

I fully agree with you knifff. I've done that dungeon numerous times (I believe 13 times now) and still managed to gather only 3 chalices (no relic's of rin). It is a shame cause I really would like to get a blindfold for my derv But I refuse to pay more then 1k a piece (and prices are rising) for one chalice when I need 50! to get myself the headpiece. I really hope Anet will look into this and fix teh droprates like they did with the destroyer cores (which now drop perfectly).

I do not mean to imply that people should obtain a piece of equipment easily... A little grind never hurt anyone, but doing a dungeon with a group of 8 and still not manage to get everybody a chalice seems a little stupid to me

about those Rin Relics I heard a rumor that they only drop from Murakai's Chest once you completed the Veiled Threat quest, can anyone confirm this ?

I tried to do that quest (it's master difficulty) with Hero's/Henches and I got whiped on the first char group in the dungeon -_-

plus just getting to that dungeon took me at least 20 min

Drop rate is a joke!

I was forced to buy all Chalices to get blindfold!

But I spent 2 days just buying em because people barely have em to sell em :/

I would give my left leg for 25 golden rin relics but it seams like they are more rare than onyx and Ecto combined.
In fact i think there's a better chance of a perfect req 8 crystalline dropping in that dungeon.

Farm as I might I couldn't get the damned things to drop.

Thankfully I haven't set foot in the Charr lands yet. Been too busy over Asura-side... and then levelling up my Shing Jea Rit.... and death-levelling my Pre-Sear Warrior inbetween.

Never seen one dropping. Anywhere.

I got one chalice out of 3 runs.

And since I was farming for dwarven points and chalices/relics, I didn't fight Murkai.

The droprate is OBSCENLY low.

I'd almost be happy if they dropped from Murkai. 2k a piece sounds fairly reasonable!

Saw 1 Chalice dropping in 8 man group... thats all. Never seen a relic.

Btw, the guy didnt pick up his Chalice...

Just did another run of temple of the dammed.. and not a sniff of a collector drop..maybe they drop somewhere else?
The end chest didn't give me much of an incentive to try again.
I'll try again after i unlock HM.

Our guild hasnt had trouble getting Diessa Chalices in Cathedral, but yea those Golden Rin Relics are next to impossible to find.

got 4 in 2 runs(hero henchies), but, out of 20+ runs, that's it lol

the "destroyer core" drop wasnt a bug, im perfectly sure is was they puspose to made the drop OBSCENELY low, and after we complaint about it they make a excuse and come out whit the Bug thing!!! perhad....all the game is bugged: because the entire game drop is a holy sht??

I'm all in all very dissapointed with gwen drops so far... I've quested trough many many places and just have 1 nice drop to show for
Glacial gloves where a gift from a friend, destroyer gloves are unreachable for me at this point in time, just don't have the time to farm 250 destroyer cores(!!) of them.. Although I am very happy with the fact they upgraded the droprate!! Now something would be attainable when I have a few spare free days.
Next up, diesa chalices, relics, unfindable.. makes me sad.. cause I would love to be able to get myself a blindfold and say: "Gwen was soooooooooo short and easy, I did that shit blindfolded!"

Nobody in my guild has ever seen a relic drop and together this easily equals more than 100 player runs.
