I have found it interesting how the graphical quality of the game has improved so much over time - becoming especially obvious with Nightfall and Eye of the North. Post-searing Ascalon can look a bit dated, but the Asuran stuff in EotN is incredible (and to be honest, might be better than Oblivion was).

Yes, they have continuously increased texture resolution and polygon count, and post-processing - the newer the area, the more complex the graphics.

Presumably the updates trail a perceived increase in the capabilities of the average players hardware.

IMO the pinnacle isn't the Asuran lands, but the Charr lands. Places like Dalada Uplands are absolutely beautiful.

Great thread, I keep seeing the pics and going "oh, oh, oh...I SO know where that is, but what the hell is the name?" hehe.

GW has such nice scenery without resorting to tacky obviousness. I'll have to dig into my screenshots folder

Afya - First is Henge of Denravi looking out at the water, second is Chabek village, third is Zen Daijun? Fourth is in either the Divinity Coast or D'Alessio Seaboard mission - the swamps have those glowy things.

Kurd - Kessex Peak? I'm assuming that be the wizard tower.

There you go. Should be no problem now, except instead of the name of the place, I will only accept a screen of your character standing there as the correct answer.
