Doubt it, the Jade Sea has more of an icy-ish map, whereas the Sea of Sorrows has sort of black marks on the water on the big map.

The mursaat made a lot of thins like those for the White mantle, like the Healing Shrines.

Probably that's a 'watchpoint' from where they see the surrounding areas.
