Secret Cave in Drakkar Lake
arloyola
Leaving Sifhalla by the South gate there is a suspicious rock, where two miner dwarfs are working. The monsters sounds that can be heard standing next to that rock make me believe that it is a secret entrance to a cave.
The presence of Budger Blackpowder, who is in the left of the West Sifhalla gate, and who will provide explosives, make everything more suspicious.
But putting explosives near the rock doesn’t brake it.
Does any body knows about this cave?

anyone try light of deldrimor?
A11Eur0
if you put a barrel of blackpowder next to the left dwarf, it starts a dialogue...but that's it. I've tried it already...dropped maybe 40 barrels at different spots next to the wall but nothing happened.
Veripare
Maybe if/when hard mode comes out the cave will be accessible - do I smell another dungeon?

I couldn't get this. I also tried Light of Deldrimor with no apparent results.
I'm putting my money on 'not implimented in the game yet' or requiring some currently unknown condition.

Or a Hard mode feature..
Or maybe a secret. just because these things don't work, doesn't mean nothing does.

Well, those dwarves weren't there during the preview event, and they also weren't there about two weeks ago when I cleared the area several times... whatever it is, it must be coming soon.
Or maybe we just need to figure it out.

The Dwarven miners appear after a quest that has you kill a jotun boss in that area.

I thought about and tried that too - blasting the rocks by the miners. Nothing so far, but the sounds still exist. We'll find out soon enough I suppose.

There is actually a few places in GW:EN like this places that are blocked off
and you can see they don't match the normal surroundings and no other quest we have
now lead to these places that I have found
like a Snow sheet or rocks/boulders but if you stand close you can hear things
OR see through into a large space or tunnel.
I don't mean the dungeons as many are deliberately blocked depending on the mission ect I mean the open areas.
I have tried lots of diff things like above posts and nothing happens
It is either there was something meant to go there and they dropped it at the last min for whatever reason "rushed"
OR there there for a future expansion/add-on before GW2 comes out to keep our interest
and would be easer to implement as the places are already there in the layout just not activated.
just my opinion.

Try it with a variety of heroes present in the party?
Curse You
If by suspicious noises you mean the sound of pickaxes hitting rock then, no it's not a secret cave, just a bit of scenery.

The sound coming from the supposed cave it’s clearly not the pickaxes, but a monster.

Well, sorry about the mixup, I didn't know there was a specific quest that allowed them to appear.
If nobody's found anything yet, I have a strong feeling it will present itself in HM...

Chicken of the Seas
Are you sure its not the dwarf's grunts either? I checked it out but I couldn't hear anything besides the picks and the occasional dwarven grunt.
Hexum
Most likely bonus mission pack has something to do with it.
Curse You
I just checked inside the rock, using a technique to clip through textures, there is nothing to suggest a hidden cave. It's just a rock, get over it.

Slippy jack i think you mean up,up,down, down, left, right, left, right,B,A wasn't that like the first cheat code or something? but yeah i hope this will be another dungeon, looks pretty cool already

Umm since Anet said theres 18 dungeons, and theres 18 with no news of them adding more(since they are working on GW2). You all are making a deal about nothing!

Right, because Anet's never added new, undocumented bonus content to a game of theirs after release before.
I'm not saying they will or won't, but it's not completely unreasonable to hope.

No more. Ignorant. If dwarves are mining there. They werent before. They have dialogs. There are sounds of monsters coming from behind the rock. It is at this very moment a rock that is securing something that will be used later on.
Why do you always bring people down? This is a speculation thread about something that was recently added to game. If you have nothing relevant to provide to the conversation, dont post.

So, we have dwarves dialogs, monster sounds....sounds like fun times to me

The dwarves are mining there because there is ore that Budger Blackpowder uses to make his explosives. Try reading quests before accepting them. http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/The_Big_Unfriendly_Jotun
Also, there are no monster noises. What you're hearing is either the grunts of the dwarves or one of you're heroes/henchmen.

Where Budger appears,
There is a graveyard that has what looks to be a collapsed snowbank behind it.
For a while I was sure that you could blow up part of that snowbank to reveal a secret.
