Can anyone tell me about the battles plans that was dropped during the pre-view weekend. Are they encryptyed hidden messages or random meaningless letters?

These currently have no use, although it'd be awesome if they dropped, and when given to the leader of the vanguard, she would give you like 500 points...

It's anybody's guess at the moment. I have one of em and intend to hold on to it. You never know what they can be good for.

I think Sasuke has the right idea, probably much like the Koris Deeprunner map piece quest. Maybe unlocking another quest afterwards?

I just did a quest for charr battle plans? But I did not read them I just turned them in. The NPC sin gave me the quest. Probably something different.

I have put those throught multiple decrypters and none of them can solve it.

Well, it can be solved, which is to say that there are multiple words within the quote. For instance, the first word could be equally or forseen or about 500 other words. The problem is that most probably there is a word or name in the quote that does not match a known english word, and it throws off the whole translation. I'll keep working on it.

Linsey Murdock said that only a few of the words actually correspond to english words. The rest is just gibberish.

Well, got one to go to Flame Temple Corridor. Got a measly 70 Vanguard points. I don't remember there being a bounty guy in the mission itself, so either the bounty carries over into these, or they're a waste of time. Or, at least, the Flame Temple Corridor one is.

I just did the Grendich Courthouse one and got 70 points also. The mini-missions give points towards the''Eye of the North'' title track which is an upside.

Yeah, just realized that myself. I assume you can't get points for a specific location more than once. Anyone have a plans decoded to Grendich or Dragon's Gullet?

Well, I just helped someone do Dragon's Gullet and I got no additional mastery points. Either you need to be the one with the plans, or you can only get the points once for doing special ops as a whole.

EDIT: The thought on wiki is that maybe the Snowman and Fronis dungeons now give points.

EDIT2: It's true, it's merely that the "joke" dungeons are now worth points. Guess these mini-missions aren't worth doing after all.

Make sure your ready to do it, I clicked the quest just to look at it while I was solo. Then resigned and it disappeared. It seems you only get one try per battle plan, because I couldn't go back in.

Yeah I did this too. However, me and some friends farmed Charr Invaders for like 2 hours tonight (4 of us, rest heroes) and we did manage to snag one, so they're dropping. Sadly I didn't think of snagging a screen shot of it though.
Anyone else notice where they're dropping and what kinda drop rate you're getting?
