Before anyone flips a lid this suggestion is for PvE, this is what i run and it is very effective, great dps and you can live through anything. Even solo when your team dies.
light of deldrimor (or lyssa's assault)
i am the strongest
reapers sweep (E)
victorious sweep
conviction
mystic regen
aura or thorns
vital boon
Anyone can talk trash about earth and scythe attributes but with this build with maxed earth and scythe, last few into mysticism for a little more energy, you cant go wrong. Rune headpeice +2 in scythe, then +1 earth and you have +12 regen whenever you feel like it. You also inflict cripple and bleeding and have more health and armor. You have 4 dmg attacks. You inflict deep wounds. If you run lyssa's assault you gain more energy but dont hit mass groups of mobs as well as Light. This is what ive been running lately an its super reliable. Don't need to worry about hex and condition removal thats for your heroes or other team mates.
So youve got armor buff, regeneration, damage, and if the speed boost is really an issue, just hit the snare and run, same effect.

1) Lyssa's sweep is bad. Yeah, it's a free attack skill, but it's only +20 damage or so and has no utility. If you want a decent energy neutral attack, bring zealous sweep.
2)I see no IAS. Heart of fury works nicely in any derv build, try it out.
3)No rez. You say you're often the last man standing. You'd be better off with a buddy.
4)Victorious Sweep isn't necessary. You already have a self heal.
Here's what I'd suggest:
[skill]reaper's sweep[/skill][skill]wild blow[/skill]distracting strike zealous sweep[skill]heart of fury[/skill][skill]mystic regeneration[/skill][skill]watchful intervention[/skill][skill]resurrection signet[/skill]
Doesn't incorporate any PvE only skills yet, the only one that springs to mind is aura of holy might, for a free holy damage boost.
Personally, I don't bother with earth prayers at all, but I can certainly see why you might want to, since mystic regen is nifty.

And also the fact that he's running 3 enchants, 1 being 10e, with just leftover points in his *primary* attribute.
