Save yourselves?

I was wonderign if people actually used Save Yourselves. I personnally started to toy build to use it and I think I found an at least nice one. I haven't been Puging with many warrior but I have never seen people using it or seen it anywhere outside of my bar.

Very few people seem to even realize that those Kurzick/Luxon and Sunspear skills exist for some reason. I remember there being explicit update notes mentioning them, so I don't understand the reason why they're so poorly utilized.
As for "Save Yourselves!" I use it fairly frequently myself, but you see it much more on P/W's due to the obvious synergy with Leadership and [skill=text]Focused Anger[/skill].

That's because PuGs, as a whole, are really, really bad.
Save Yourselves! is godmode, and turns everyone into a tank. Run it on a DSlasher, have a Rit throw some Splinter Weapons around, and PvE becomes (even more of...) a C-Space snoozefest.

How dare you. How dare you, sir.

Now i'm doing some hard mode on my warrior i use it when i'm running a d-slash build, it can be really handy in high damage areas, all you need is a lot of adrenaline to keep it up.

Aside from the elementalist ones...
Can you beleive I had to tell a dervish in Istan (SS Sanctuary, that place where you have to talk to the Hero Skill trainer with the SS Skill icon) that he could use the SS Skill with Avatar of (I think it was) Lyssa.

[card]Dragon Slash[/card]+[card]"For Great Justice!"[/card]+[card]Enduring Harmony[/card]+"Save Yourselves!"=30 seconds +100 armor for everyone.
MBP
Won't it only be the target of EH that gets the extended "Save Yourselves!" applied?
If not I really gotta get my warrior /P because that looks fun.

Brood_Star
he means to cast it on yourself for an extra 10 seconds of fgj which in turn = an extra 10 seconds of free adren from dslash

I don't use it because I don't have enough faction donated as between farming for titles bounties and faction.
DokkyDok
I've only got its duration at 4 seconds, but it has made Hard Mode much easier with a Dragon-Slasher, despite my preferance for the axe.
Dronte
Steady Stance + desperation + drunken blow + FGJ + enduring harmony + save yourselves = pure pwnage
even better than dragon slash imo, and can be used with axe/sword/hammer w/e Wild Karrde
I recently Did Shards of Orr with 2 guild friends, The team consisted of 3 Smite/Heal monks, 3 Smite/Prot monks, and 2 tanks with FGJ and SY; one with Dslash and another went W/P. it pwned shards HARD. It was laughably easy, we raced through there. SY turned the monks into super soldiers. +100 armor makes most attacks/spells do practically no dmg at all. It is godmode.
Cherng Butter
Would you say a 3 seconds SY is still useful? (on enduring fgj D-slash spammer, maybe even through aura of superiority in there)

Absolutely. 3 seconds of +100 armor is definitely better than 0 seconds of +100 armor. Keep in mind its still only a mere 4 second duration up until rank 7. It doesn't go up very quickly.
Perfected Shadow
I find it great at keeping aggro with D/W, my party gets +100 armor = mobs go for me instead = gain adrenaline faster to use SY again.
Psychology
Won't SY give you only +25armor instead of +100 because of armor stack?
If not could someone explain to me,i assume im not understanding armor stack or SY. EDIT;added numbers, had number lock off!! Worthington

If not could someone explain to me,i assume im not understanding armor stack or SY. Err, I'm not really understanding yor question but the poster above you is saying that he uses SY! as an aggro mechanism since it affects everyone BUT the user. So all of a sudden the rest of the party has this insanely high AL. When on critters go to pick a target for aggro they factor in AL. Since his is the lowest by far (everyone else having +100) he tends to get more then his share which is exactly what he wants. As for armor stack, one skill can boost you you over the cap, but you can't combine skills to attempt to get over it. So SY! will give you the full +100 but SY! and WY! won't give you anything extra. Nor will Dolyaks, and WY!, or "Unstoppable" and WY!, ect. iridescentfyre

If not could someone explain to me,i assume im not understanding armor stack or SY. Armor stacking works thusly.. Armor buffs only stack up to +25 AL. However, one skill can still give you any amount. For an example: You use "Watch Yourself!", giving your whole party +20 armor. A few seconds later, you use "Save Yourselves!" Everyone gets +100 AL from that. Instead of having +120 AL, they only get +100 because SY! overrides WY! for its duration. Anyway, whatever question you're trying to ask, I'm pretty sure the answer is that its because "Save Yourselves!" is a massive buff on one skill and stacking isn't involved... moko

If not could someone explain to me,i assume im not understanding armor stack or SY. its basically armor buff 1+buff 2 = stack single armor buff can go > 20 (25?) cap. AlienFromBeyond

I use Air of Superiority in addition to this to get the recharge all skill bonus, which happens a decent amount of the time.

I'm liking Brawling Headbutt on a Dragon Slasher, spamming KDs as well as the god-mode shout and stuff is fun.

You, as in the Warrior, do not need +100 armor. It doesn't affect you anyway, it gives it to the rest of your party. Perhaps they don't need it either, but if its possible to do and it makes things easier, people will (and should) use it.

This skill has a mistake in the description. It says "all other party members gain +100 armor" where the "+" is needless. Sy only sets your partys base armor to 100 which is the same +20 armor bonus for a warr as watch yoursef but it gives a +40 armor to casters. It would be a "not bad" skill if it would has a duration at least 10 secs or if it would really gives your party the +100 armor but its a crap now.
If you dont belive me you can test it easily. The notes says in wiki "An armor bonus of 100 reduces elemental and physical damage (and Chaos, Dark and Holy damages inflicted by attacks) by 82.32%." which is very nice but far not true for this skill This is a bug and it should be reported to anet. Dronte
Well, I havent realized that, gj.
Anyways, its still extremely useful, you can get the constant 100 armor with the above builds. Edit: And what if it adds +100 armor and it divides between your 5 armor piece? That means +20 armor for each part, so as a caster you'll get 80 armor, and as a warrior you'll get 100 armor etc.. ? P.S: sry for my english, hope you can understand what I meant ^^ blue.rellik

P.S: sry for my english, hope you can understand what I meant ^^ When you get hit, each piece of armour you wear has a chance of getting hit. The body piece has the highest chance followed by leggings, the rest all have the smallest chance of getting hit. When you get hit, damage is based on the armour of that armour piece. So to answer your question, a elementalist with base 60 armour will be treated as someone with 160 armour under SY. A base warrior would get 200 (216 with a shield) against physical and 180 (196 with a shield) against elemental Dronte

It's a great skill, I run it even on my Assa. Sighs of relief from Tahlkora are priceless.

I once took 20 seconds to notice three terrorwebs were attacking my Mesmer. This is because Save Yourselves! is ridiculous.
Save Yourselves! means you don't have to rely on the ridiculous idea of having a tank. Save Yourselves! means you cannot lose at Guild Wars. Really, it's incredibly broken. But also incredible. candyman_sb

Saying Save Yourselves! is bad is like saying Cracked Armour ruined paragons.
