4 Horse Men quest in UW

do anyone have a good strategi for the 4 horse man,me and my team have this team setup which seams very solid,but im very curious how it will work in the horse quest: dual monks,1ss,2eles,1bipper,1ranger,1healer with traps.And I noticed after the first time they spawn from both sides,so whats the best approach,dual monks on 1 side and terratanker on the other side, the healer have sb and arcane echo and healing skills.

When we completed the quest (was before the update in UW, also before the nerf on seed of life) we used 2 vow of silence dervishes. We also had a heal hybrid with expel hexes + a zb monk (me). other monk left i believe, but that wasn't a big deal with seed of life.
The build for dervishes was the same as the 1 for solo bone pits + spawning pools, meaning they could survive on their own when they have VoS on. But this time they also had bonds which made it even easier. (to everything except the aatxes, but prot spirit + spirit bond helps ya there). Seed of life helped alot back than. the dervishes got healed while vos was up.
The quest itself was very easy this way, complete spell immunity is nice here.
We plan to go again now with this update on UW, and probably grab them again. But I'm going as para this time, instead of the expel hexes bonder because SoL doesn't work very well anymore. Dunno what skills, maybe angelic bond will b good, or other defensive buffs.

I dislike this quest with a passion. I was trying to clear UW with just 3 heroes and I totally forgot about this quest. Waste of 3 hours, zzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

dual monks and a healer??? Did you mean triple monks?
Anyways, the only problem I see is the bipper. In non-elite pve(as this generally is), there isn't really any need for a bipper. Instead, it would be better for your team to take some time of melee character to deal some solid dps, such as a dervish, warrior, or sin.

dedicating 1 charac just to do this quest is a waste of charac slot imo (obsidian tank). Except for standing there keeping his own enchants up and the incidental sliver armor isn't good. It's even very bad if aggro breaks (which can happen fairly quick), since you have your whole bar dedicated to the spell immunity and dmg reduction.
Vow of silence dervishes were nice because they could do good damage, while having complete spell immunity with the need of only 1 skillslot. So they weren't useless for other areas in the game, unlike the famous obsidian tank.

Hey mate, I vanquished all three continents using obsitank and I can say that it is the most solid tank build there is. In addition, it is very good tank for every area in uw (like I said before) and it is not dedicated just for this quest. There are two trappers, two searing flames eles, spiteful spirit necro and you say it still needs more damage, huh?
And no. Aggro does not break. How could it break when you are far away from everyone else and the mobs just try to kill you no matter what, they aren't running away.

Me as Tripple Chop/Cyclone Axe warrior
3 E/Mo Heroes - SF eles with Heal Party
2 Monks (HB and ZB prot)
2 Dom Mesmer Heroes (Hex Eater Vortex)
Just fought all 4 Horsemen and Terrorwebs near the reaper
Horsemen do not pose any threat on their own, we killed Dryders first and left horsemen for last
Was really hard but pretty much doable.
There is no place in GW where you need a 'tank', especially useless OF tanks. I say this 'cause I have vanguished every single zone in all three compaigns, have all but Urgoz statue in HoM (will get one when I have time for Urgoz), done all DoA, UW, FoW, HM Missions and Vanguishing with heroes 5-6 in my party

Done. For an OFTank, how do you switch to "arcane echo" ? Or you want to go E/Me as "OFTank", without the 30 extra AL against ele dmg, will the tank survive?
If we're bringing Trappers, do we really need OFTank or just 2 monks?

Vow of Silence Dervish. Too much healing, could have used some offensive capabilities. But he was able to keep 2 Riders and 6 Terrorwebs at bay and was a great help in the Ice Wastes and the Spawning Pools as well.
I think the build can be improved a lot, it could use some more utility or firepower, it is already capable to stand against the Terrorweb Hordes infinitely on its own.

there's more than one way to do this, meaning the 2 split teams, but the advice I have is this: do 4 horsemen first thing, so that if you do wipe, you won't have wasted hours before
it took me 3 tries to get it, each time with different teams, but basically the 2 split teams each had a monk capable of keeping 4 ppl alive (as in, no pure prot monk), 1 tank to hold aggro, and 2 casters to take the horsemen down

Clear Uw again last night .. running 5 norn bears 2 healers and a smiter .. took like about an hour 40mins.
As for the quest we just send 5 on one side and 3 on the other. I just tanked one side till the 5 person group killed off their side. SB would be very helpful but we didn't use it.

on the left side we had 2UB tankers..on right 3UB tankers...1healer dedicated to 1 side..1healer was running hb and healer was running lod I think and 1sf nuker which went back and forth and nuked,and no,no heroes,we barely made it,but we did it

Since our teams derv is convinced that enemies hate him (horrible at pulling and holding agro) ill run the obi tank...... same build i use when farming destroyer cores. WOOT!

A obsi earth ele tank can hold one side as long as it takes, even wipes the dryders. If the other seven team-members can't clear the otherside then, it's either time to find a new team or uninstall gw. :P

Oh it shouldnt be a problem. Obi tanking is easy. We couldnt get it because we tried a 4x4 split with hero healers and one dc ursan

If you run around with bear form tanks on both sides can you place the healers in the middle at the reaper and tank at both sides, so the healers would just have to run a few steps in one direction to heal the other side?

1 healer is dedicated to 1 side..and yes we use bear form when we tank,but the right side will aggro the reaper,if you dont hold agrro,we barely made it cuz I think 1 of the 3 ub tankers on the other side break agroo,rest of the uw was easy,and watch out for ice king quest..I suggest 1 ub tanker should stand in 1 of the ways that the dryders are gonna go and try to kill the ice king,in that way they will boll and die from ub skills.

we did same as lucifer, but 2 trappers prepped left side, and one trapper held with 1 monk while everyone else cleared right.

the reaper is not a primary target for them, they tend to attack the players first. My group did it by leaving an SB tahlkora and me as an ursan tank on one side and they cleaned the other, then came to help me as i was almost dying, but once the dryders are gone, ignore the bosses, they really do no dmg at all and take a while longer to kill, thats the trick, finish dryders fast and help the other site, leave someone holding the bosses as not to risk them killing th reaper... slow, but possible if no one pays attention...

First check out underworld on wiki, it has a short run down of every quest. When I defeat this quest we split one monk and the tank to one side(doesn't matter which) and everyone else rushes the other side and shreds them asap. Then just run back to kill the other side and they never get close to the Reaper at all.

and send the other people on the other side with the other monk and u just tank the left side till the right side finish killing theres, not that hard but bringing consumables like grails/essences/armors/cupcake/candyapples do help alot.
and definitely wont be clearing UW again in a long time.... time consuming and after we didnt recieve our reward
