Immortal Sin
Master of Sins
Profession: A/D
Name: Immortal Assassin
Type: General PvP
Category: Tank/Damage
Attributes:
Critical Strikes- 10+ 3 + 1
Dagger Mastery- 8 + 3
Shadow Arts- 10 +3
Earth Prayers- 8
Skill Set:
Unsuspecting Strike [critical strikes]
Fox Fangs [dagger mastery]
Twisting Fangs [critical strikes]
Way of the Assasin [elite, critical strikes]
Mystic Regeneration [earth prayers]
Assassins Remedy [critical strikes]
Way of Perfection [shadow arts]
Critical Defenses [critical strikes]
Summary: This build is meant to survive massive damage and outank anything. The key lies in always keeping your enchantments up and constantly attack unless you have MASS hexing. In addition, you can take out a caster in a single combo because every hit is almost always a critical strike! The best part is that the enemy will always relentlessly attack an assassin that charges in first, but your a tank so.. you get it.
Tips:
-always keep all enchantments up
-always attack, especially if your taking damage, cause you heal with each hit and cure conditions when you combo
-if your critical defenses are about to run out go for nearest enemy
-way of the assassin should always be up and only works under enchantment
-if your careful you can solo entire RA teams if they don't have a anti melee hexer or a disenchanter
Gear:
-superior vig rune
-ensignias and extra rune should add up to 30 energy- the rest hp
-Zealous Dagger of Defense "guided by fate" (-1 energy regen +1 on hit, +5 defense, +15% damage while enchanted)
Credit: When Nightfall came out and Dervs were on the in and Assassins on the out because of survivability, I decided to make an almost invulnerable assassin to change the odds. This is an original build.

You obviously don't agree with how I build characters- besides the runes are optional- the skill set is te most important. I just prefer strategy and careful skill management over additional health. I really have had this one since the end of he first week of Nightfall. When I post my builds I'm not blowing hot air- just try them.
Omniclasm
This made me Lawl. To top it off, it is even a PvP build

so you want to kill something every 15 seconds?
oh wait, that isnt good enough to get something down to 1/2 health...
alson the additional health thing, how about additional health AND careful skill management...like pvp monks use maybe?infact why not just use all minors ffs.

The only place I would WANT to try tanking would be RA. And I already know that's boring (and pointless with the time limit nowadays, your team will get dp'ed out anyways).
So... l2playassassin.

You know what I've been running in RA lately, just for a different taste?
Golden Fox Strike --> Wild Strike --> Shattering Assault.
As soon as I start on you, you've lost WotA and two of CD, MR, WoP, or Remedy. That means you != immortal.
More importantly, you only state that the runes are optional once people go after you about it. Generally speaking, if attribute points are open to the interpretation of the user, that's stated in the original post. You're running 300 health. An air spike would puree you. Hell, an earth spike could probably cause you real trouble.

your healing at about 50 hp per second since you crit hit all the time, and dodging all phys attacks, plus healing all conditions- this build is strong.

strong?maybe you should try 55hp sin lol.
50hp per second can be outdamaged easily Master of Sins
I give up- if nobody wants to try my builds then that's there problem. It seems that your all fixated on hp- great, so go make a 1000 hp+ character and see what that does. It just prolongs your death. Here is why I believe in lower hp and higher stats- in the end if your healing power is lower then the damage you take, it doesn't matter if you have 55hp or 1000 hp, you will still die. But if you only have 300 hp and you can out heal that damage then you will live even if 1/3 of your health disapears from one lightning orb. In addition, most sins don't have enough healing anyway- if your gonna die your gonna die. So if you want to spike, why not max it out and rely on tactics to keep the enemy from bothering with you? If they can kill you in a single move, but your spike has them KD'd before they can get off a shot then it doesn't matter cause there dead. I suspect you will dismiss this as being a foolish outlook. But if you really look at it, it does have at least an iota of truth that you cannot deny.

Yea, I wasn't talking to Sqube. The unblockable shattering assault sin is great, and with assassins remedy it's really very strong. Plus I know him from somewhere else.

Did you even see my post? I'm not the only 'sin running [skill=text]Shattering Assault[/skill] either; I've seen somebody run it on me.

Except that 5/8 of your skill bar is defense.
You can't kill anything. Your heal is easily outdamaged. Your defense is easily removed. Oh, and you didn't kill anything. yum
Noess!!!! you guys are all wrong. His build is good.
Sucky builds work perfectly vs sucky teams. It's RA and AB you know Master of Sins
shattering assault does nothing if the duel attack before it cannot hit because of critical defenses-

[skill]fox fangs[/skill][skill]wild strike[/skill][skill]Shattering Assault[/skill] CANNOT BE BLOCKED DURRRRRRRRR
Master of Sins
critical defenses is an enchantment, not a stance, also your lead attack would have to be unbockable, in order for melee to take down this build it has to be specific to bypassing blocks and enchantments-
Amalek
Fox Fangs - unblockable
Wild Strike - unblockable Shattering - unblockable, bye bye 2 enchants. edit: open with Golden Fox Master of Sins
golden fox strike- unblockable
expose defenses- unblockable way of the fox- unbockable warriors cunning etc. so what? how many sins run all unblockable builds, most rely on hexes and KD with speed and deadly arts- Amalek
Well, the point is the shattering assault unblockable build is immune to blind (unless condition stacks), stances, enchants (unless in stacks of 2 or more), diversion unless you are bad or they get lucky. There are still counters, as there are to anything, but it's very strong.
isamu kurosawa
the only way this build can be reffered to as immortal is that it will live in the hearts of all those who chuckled reading it. Next time i see someone defending a bad sin build i'll think of this and then realise theirs could always be worse.
Shuuda
Someone help me, for I don't know how to respond to this thread without flaming or insulting laughter.
Sqube
Master of Sins, the point isn't that you don't see the build that often. The point is, if you're going to call a build immortal, it damn well better not be as susceptible as your build is.
Cherng Butter
There's no way you can take out a caster in one combo with those 3 skills. There's no way you can survive a caster either.

Fox Fangs is a offhand attack, not a lead attack...

GG Golden Fox Strike as lead, as has been said a few times in this thread. Then either Fox Fangs OR Wild Strike as offhand. Reading Comprehension FTW I guess. Master of Sins
sorry- I actually just took the names from my templates, there not really supposed to be conclusive, just the direction. And yes, the point is very few of you have seen these builds.. or seen them work. So I understand the skepticism. But also your pointing out weakpoints that come out in one player out of at least 10-15 RA battles in terms of the shattering assault build. If your online now then why not pugin this build or the others and see if its legitimate. If your all top players like I assume you are and can perform this builds perfectly, then you should know within five rounds if these are legitimate.

"Top players" don't need to try builds to know they /fail.
Master of Sins
that's an arrogant and closed minded thing to say. Sure 7 lead attacks wont work, but the chain itself works. Everything builds off of one another. A good player should stay open to almost anything. Hubris only weakens you as a person.
yum
I have to test to see if mending wammo works?

Shuuda
This is worse than mending wammo, atleast I've never seen one who uses 3 sup runes, EVER. No one needs to analyze it too see how it fails.
Master of Sins
alright then. I suppose this build is so much better because it has more hp?

Although w/o, DP Entangling Asp is really trash since your purpose is damage dealing. |
