October 25 update
chowmein69
When sunlight wanes to shadow
And mists fill nights once clear
'Tis time to think of monarchs
Who visit once a year.
Hail, Thorn, the king demented,
Whose laughter fills the air
Where cunning gifts are given
With wit and deadly flair!
And as the season passes
Remember what you've seen
In Lion's Arch and Kamadan
On this good Halloween.
[edit] Bug Fixes
Fixed a bug that caused the hunt rampage to display an incorrect duration in Hard Mode.
Fixed a bug that prevented the snowmen in the Secret Lair of the Snowmen from using their Hard-Mode exclusive skills.
Fixed an exploit that allowed players to access Account Storage in areas that have no Xunlai Agents.
Fixed a bug that occasionally prevented characters from receiving credit for kills in the Fissure of Woe quest "The Hunt".
Fixed a bug that prevented players from reporting teammates for leeching while in Random Arenas and Alliance Battles.
Fixed a bug that allowed players to have more siege devourers in their group than intended in some Eye of the North regions.
Fixed a bug that allowed players to use Lacerate to kill Polymock opponents.
Fixed a bug that prevented Domain of Anguish bosses from spawning once the quest "Mallyx the Unyielding" had been completed.
Fixed a bug in the Courtyard map of Heroes’ Ascent that allowed the gate levers to open and close the gates faster than intended.
Fixed a graphical bug that caused several character models and armor sets to appear as wireframes.
[edit] Miscellaneous
The Xunlai Tournament House NPC has returned to the Great Temple of Balthazar, Lion’s Arch, Kaineng Center, and Kamadan to reward players with Tournament prizes.
To more clearly distinguish items that are outside of combat range, the names of characters and items more than 1,000 feet away now appear in a dimmer color.
[edit] Guild Wars Wiki notes
Caused duplication of several skills at the Priest of Balthazar[Rewards]:
Anthem of Weariness
Blessed Light
Burning Arrow

Tiger Stance
These duplicates could be equipped to your bar, excepting Searing Flames, Blessed Light and Crippling Slash, due to their being elites.

uhm, in town this is NOT helpful....trying to find the dang storage or merchant and now I can barely even see the names let alone read them and I sit not 1 foot from my computer screen!

Anyone checked to see what the Snowmen "Hard Mode-exclusive" skills are?
Phaern Majes
They should make the fade out optional like they ended up doing with the floating damage character size.

The faded letters make me want to punch babies

So hold on now....
A-Net have nerfed Siege Devourers so they can't be stacked up for farming (bad thing)...
A-Net have nerfed item names outside immediate aggro so they can't be seen (bad thing)...
A-Net have slammed special Hard Mode skills on Snowmen to make it more awkward to farm them (bad thing)...
And what is all this stuff about duplicate skills and accessing storage in Pre-Sear (now fixed anyway)?
It sounds to me like A-Net just like messing up the game...
The only good thing in all that is the fixing of the wireframe glitch.

That double-skill bug was fun while it lasted

Right now it only looks shite.
Besides that, I do not see why it is bad that Siege Devourer abuse has been stopped (Only one per area, or what does it mean?). The same for the nerf of the snowmen run.
Lagg
I love the fading names!
However, as was suggested, this should probably be optional for the many here that seem to dislike it.
Thanks ArenaNet for these small improvements you keep making to the game!

Poor siege devourer, lol at "bug" bit. C'mon Anet just come out and say it. "We don't like you to have (that much) fun". Oh and fix Hayda's face already, poor girl can't put her make up on.

basically all snowmen seem to have mega snowball now as well, some snowmen can now use ice fort and avalanche is a lot more common
it's not that fun standing between 20 snowmen suddenly doing a kd chain with mega snowballs ...
i'll have to remake my build to farm better there (atm i can just survive big mobs with a lucky spell breaker recharge)

Whenever I read about a nerf or a buff like this one, I picture a bunch a little nerds sitting in front of a workstation at Anet laughing their little pointy heads off. “You got pwned!! Hee hee hee hee!”
moko
oh wow, hardmode was made harder and as always it's the same result.

Wait, why are people bitching about the fact that ANet fixed exploits, fixed un-intended design and made a slight change to the UI?
I actually really like the fading of names, as it's much easier to see who you're actually fighting, instead of seeing a full screen of red names while you're actually only fighting 5 of them.

Can someone elaborate on the siege devourer nerf? Is it no longer possible to ride them across zone boundaries?
puffzilla
The fading name in towns isn't right. They need to reset that back.
I was having fun in the snowman cave. That kind of sucks. 1 of 4 gwen farming titles with an easier way to get it would have been nice. :P

Actually another one of thoses check boxes would have been nice. Do want this on yes/no.

Good lord can you people bitch/whine/complain more. Lets see, Anet corrected a couple bugs, made hard mode, more like a hard mode should instead of easy mode exploited for extra stuff. If Hard Mode was to be easy, they would call it exploit this area for rep mode or something.

Sephir you're an odd one.
Aside from all the ass kissing, QQing and general usual (bad) news from Anet, when is the Halloween stuff starting so I can play this horrible game some?

Still no :-
Fixed a bug that caused players using dual-core CPU's to crash with looping sound unless they set the GW.exe affinity to a single core.
Come on ANet, fix this problem! It's not as if multi-core CPU's are the realm of computer geeks and nerds anymore is it? You added the problem with EotN, so either fix it or take out whatever's causing it.

Hate is a strong word, but I have to say I really hate how the names fade, that is really annoying and hope they change it back.

However, if they stopped f'ing around with all this useless crap and put 1/10 the effort into substantial things this game would roxorz the big 111!!!!one!!!2111.
