lol pablo you are sooo clever.
Theres going to be so much people trying to figure how to do this now you've mentioned it. well similar exploits. im guessing Gaile doens't want us knowing incase we figure out how to do other things.
i was only thinking the other day about whether or not there was a way of acessing a merchant while in explorable areas. obviously i wouldn't break any rules and try and find a way wow i been playing this game for 2 and a half years and have never noticed the little arrows on the energy bar whilst in a town

This faded names bullcrap rivals the deep-wound colored cancel button they added to target bars in terms of overall fruitiness. It makes me laugh that there are so many things that could improve this game, and they work feverishly on ways to make it worse. At least make it a toggle option you fools, instead of making me squint at the damn monitor to find the storage witch.

I agree with others that the faded name thing is unneccessary and kinda annoying, ESPECIALLY in towns and outposts. I now have to squint to find NPCs in large towns.

Ah so that's what was causing it. I have a quad core, and mine was doing exactly that all the time last week. I figured it couldn't be because my system was too shabby...

Anyway,

I'd like to see a toggle for the fading names. I find it ok when fighting, better in some ways as I don't use c-space to fight, I rely on selecting targets and watching the minimap. But when you've got a complete cluster**** of enemies on the way the fading is better.

But in towns... no it's awful. Because everyone's displaying titles when you hold down cntrl and look for someone all the various shades of the background to the titles make it a complete mess.

/toggle please.

I have no use for the fading names feature, not even in the explorable areas (let alone in towns). Just one question: why was it needed?? It serves no purpose but to make the names harder to read. If you want to know how far away an enemy is, look at the radar. It gives you far more exact information on distances than fading names do and, oh yeah, it's easy to read, too. Using radar is a win-win. Change back please or at least toggle.

I have to admit, we tryed this 1 time back when GWEN first came out. all 8 of us had a siege devourer and were just totally wiping out everything in site in the Char territories. Greens were dropping like water from the sky. When HM came out the very first thing I did was get PUG together and tried this again.. 8 Siege devourers Guess what? HM was a push over... I'm almost positive this is why this was nerfed... Was it fun. Ab so freaking lootly... Did it make the game a little too easy? Yea it did... Is it any different then Desolation with 8 Wurms? IMHO. No... But Anet didn't adequately plan for the zone to be 8 devourer balanced.. This was a creative and innovative Player discovery.

As to the Storage popup script. Yea. well That HAD to be stopped... Sorry. it was used in pre it was used in Duncans, it was used in Fissure... It was an exploit, and allowed for people to Rinse repeat farming without zoning back to towns. As well as allowing people access to elite armorers when they didnt have what was required to get what was there on them. They just uses the script to open storage and get what they needed or clear uot some inv space from ANYWHERE. Now I think there should be a chest in some places... FoW at the armorer, and in Duncans for the Destroyer weapons. For convenience sake. But if EVERYONE can not get access to it. the few exploiters should not either...

OK and the lacerate thing. lol I have to admit I sat on that one for a while... I never reported it. It was basically harmless, and I thought a rather ingenious for an otherwise useless Elite skill for rangers... Did I expect it to last? Nope.. Nor did I the devourer thing... But both were really harmless. However if it was causing complaints of ANY kind, then yea.. its a valid nerf.

However there is a significant problem in Polymock IMHO. After a round Both sides should start the round again on equal footing. Thats just me, But I think that should be the case. And if it had been that way all along the discovery of the lacerate bug would have been of no consequence, because both players would start at 100% health every round and it would not have worked.

Oh and the dup skill listing bug. that was anets fault with a minor DB error is all. for a short time people in PvP could use the priest to occasionally get double skills on their skill bar, Including in a few cases 2 elites... This has now been fixed...

Please nerf the Wurms in the Desolation. I am tired of seeing people get the LB and SS titles so easily. Me and my guildmates took 8 Siege Wurms in the Desolation and pretty much laid waste to it. It was ridiculously easy and obviously it's an exploit.

Besides I worked hard for my SS and LB titles with just me and my heroes/henchmen, only using the Wurms to cross the sulforous areas. It's not fair that other people can group with 8 other people and exploit the Wurm skills and get the title in half the time. This needs_to_be_balanced NOW.

Go to the Eye of the North section and you will see a whole bunch of noobs using 3 necro/rt hero builds to break the game. They are steamrolling through HM areas and it's not fair to those that only like select classes and select skill to steamroll areas. My suggestion would be to increase the recharges of SS and jagged bones to 45 seconds. Also, cut the damage done from Death Nova in half. While you are at it, also lessen the damage done to adjacent targets from mark of Pain to 0-15. I know that the skills used in this build will affect PvP players too but, really, who gives a shit?

Please make it so that you can't use the mouse and the #8 key in conjunction to make your player revive from a knockout in Kilroy's Punchout. I am a great Brass Knuckle fighter and rarely get knocked down, but last night I did. A guildie told me about that and I got up way too fast, making the whole thing ridiculously easy. Please nerf that for me so I don't have to make the hard choice of simply not doing it.

People are still using Spirits to win Magni's tournament. Personally, I like to use my personal FotM build, and it pains me to no end that other people can continue to use theirs. Please nerf Spirits some more so that this exploit (it's obviously an exploit) no longer occurs, as opposed to letting people just choose not to do it. It really makes Magni way too easy. Where's the challenge?


Alchar's Alchemical Acid needs nerfing now! I went into Glint's challenge with 7 guildies we all had that skill and the mission was WAY to easy. Even in Hard Mode. I want this game made harder for the sake of the community and AAA is just not helping the case. Nerf this exploit before it gets out of control.

You already know the deal with Ursan. Nerf that shit yesterday, it makes the game easy when my friends and I decide to take advantage of it when it's used by many people in the same group. If it's too easy for us great players, who really have no need to do something like that, then I KNOW it's too easy for those other pve scrubs. People are using this skill to beat Mallyx! We all know Mallyx is ONLY supposed to be killed with a select number of professions using a select number of skills. None of them have "Ursan" in the title.

Make it so the Ebon Vanguard passive skill does not activate outside of the Far Shiverpeaks. The noobs are actually using this (along with that 3 necro hero build I told you about earlier) to vanquish! Can you believe that? I am not going to go as far to say that they should be banned, but really nerf this exploit before it gets out of hand. After all, you did the right thing and made it so LB no longer works in Slaver's, so it's only right in this case as well. Swing that bat hard!

There are a lot of other things that have got me peeved with how easy they make PvE (notably Pain Inverter, "I Am Unstoppable!", and Great Dwarf Weapon) but I will save those for later. Hopefully you read this and implement these nerfs. I'm so tired of people getting the easy win here, using other people and shit like this was PvP. PvE is not for scrubs looking to relax, it's for people who want to get things done with toil and frustration. If you wanna relax and have fun, go on vacation, but be prepared to work when you come to Guild Wars.

You're obviously QQing, but there is a kernel of a good idea here. The key is not to focus on the skills so much as the mechanics. Make Soul Reaping stop triggering on minions, and you will go a long way towards balancing SR exploits in both PvE and PvP!

SS should not be touched, but mobs should recognize it as AoE and scatter. I continue to be amazed that this has not yet been fixed.

What is QQing? Nah soul reaping is fine, it's the skills. SS should be nerfed to hell. Although, limiting the number of minions to 5 would be ideal. Having 10 minions increases the chances that an enemy focuses on them instead of my monks, and my monks need that pressure from enemy ai to give me that rush of a good challenge. I guess I could stop using the minions altogether, but I'd prefer to be forced to stop in addition with the rest of the community. I hate making choices like that.

No it's not. I understand you probably like using it in HM where the mobs attack a lot faster, thus triggering it more and making the game easier for you, but it's an exploit. It needs a good 45 second recharge. Learn to play please and you won't have to rely on imbalanced skills like this. I'll have to stop replying to you now as I've hurt my back stooping down so low.
