The game requires you to jump ONLY IF the Mad King says "Mad King Thorn (or whatever) says Jump!". Same as with "Simon Says"....... if the command he gives is merely "jump" and you do it, you 'lose'.

I'd say they'll just be new versions of the Pumkin and witches hat. every holloween event has had a different pumkin hat, so i see no reason why they'll have something different this year. i'd say its the same with the witchs hat, just have it look differant.

make sure you are standing in the area the mad king will spawn and just leave your computer on.

you'll get your mask and maybe a few treats too.

i've had to do this any events that i had to work and still have every holiday hat.

Indeed, the whole thing was massivly misinterpreted. All she said was that there'd be something "sweet!" in response to people asking if there would be more edible items this year. And we got the trick or treat back, along with a few new items you can get inside.

Did they change the amount of time you can be idle before it bumps you out. I left my character in town dancing at like 11:30 so i could goto bed and catch the 6am mad king meeting before work. and i wake up and i was logged out, and it doesn't look like she stayed in till even the first meeting.

I slept for 7 hours until I woke up by chance and changed from Lion's Arch to Kamadan without any problems and with the scarecrow hat, so I guess you just had a time out

went to the highest district in la (euro5) got the hat, when to the lowest in kamdadan (28 ish) got the second hat too in one go

. Though the Mad king says game what screwed up because of lag. The text shows up what to do, and before you even can type you die lol.
